Just weeks ago, Labour DEFRA Ministers launched a consultation to protect our nation’s ancient and irreplaceable peatlands, recognising their “vital” role in storing carbon and preventing flooding.
But what Labour aren’t telling you is that over at Ed Miliband’s Net Zero department, they are fast-tracking plans to destroy over 2,000 hectares of peatland on the edge of historic Brontë Country, one of the most beautiful and carbon-rich landscapes in the UK 🤔
