Tony Benn’s 5 political questions:
“What power have you got?
Where did you get it from?
In whose interests do you exercise it?
To whom are you accountable?
How do we get rid of you?
And if you can’t get rid of the people who govern you, you don’t live in a democratic system.”
They attacked lard. We got Crisco, cottonseed oil hardened with hydrogen, made from what the cotton gin threw away.
They attacked butter. We got margarine, out of the same vats as the soap, with the vitamins added back by law so it would pass for food.
They attacked dripping. We got chips fried in oil that breaks down into aldehydes, the compounds a laboratory buys to damage a cell on purpose.
They attacked whole milk. We got the skimmed, with the vitamins poured off in the cream and sold back to us separately.
They attacked the egg yolk. We got egg whites in a carton, with the choline, the vitamin D and every fat-soluble nutrient left in the bin.
They attacked sugar. We got aspartame, which keeps the craving running on an empty stomach and now carries a possible cancer grade from the WHO.
They attacked breast milk. We got formula built on vegetable oil, mixed with whatever water the mother had, and a generation of babies in the poorest countries died of it.
They attacked the stockpot. We got a cube of salt and palm fat with no bone, no marrow and no gelatine in it.
They attacked wool. We got polyester, which is oil, which keeps the sweat in, and which melted into the skin of sailors on HMS Sheffield.
They attacked leather. We got polyurethane shoes that crack in one winter and sit in landfill for 500.
Now they are attacking beef. We are getting pea protein with eighteen ingredients, a cartoon cow on the box, and a third of the iron.
The original came from a field and a kitchen. The replacement came from a refinery and a patent.
Not one of the originals has ever been improved on. Every one of them has been replaced.
Most of us did 'get over it', about 10 seconds after voting (and no, I didn't vote leave FYI). Meanwhile these people have spent 10+ years(!) single-mindedly devoting themselves to stymying, overturning, and reversing the results of a massive, free, fair democratic excercise because they didn't like the result. Such strange, cringeworthy, untrustworthy beings. Everything's an act.
HOW DO WE STOP THE BOATS?
I get asked this question constantly.
“Send in the Navy!”
“Turn the boats around!”
“Put more patrols in the Channel!”
My opinion is different.
Having spent weeks on the ground in France, watching this unfold with my own eyes, I believe the answer is far simpler.
France has played an absolute blinder.
Conditions in the migrant camps are appalling. Filthy, overcrowded slums that make France look like somewhere nobody wants to stay and Britain look like the land of opportunity.
Clever, when you think about it.
Then comes the next stage.
Buses transporting migrants, gendarmes walking groups towards the beaches like they’re on a school trip, and French vessels accompanying boats across the Channel until British authorities take over.
I’ve documented enough of this to form my own conclusions.
So here’s what I would do.
Stop handing France millions. We’re paying for a system that clearly isn’t delivering.
Detain everyone arriving illegally,
Identify, photograph and document every arrival.
Return every person to France
Invoice France for the costs. Yes, I know they probably wouldn’t pay.
End the perception that arriving illegally guarantees accommodation, financial support and a permanent future in Britain.
Make the journey pointless, and you destroy the smugglers’ business model.
People are paying thousands because they believe reaching British shores is the finish line.
Remove that incentive and why would they keep handing their money to criminal gangs?
I believe crossings could fall dramatically within weeks if that message became a reality.
No Navy warships required. No dangerous confrontations at sea.
Just a government with the backbone to enforce its borders.
It is not racist to believe your country should control who enters it.
It is not racist to demand that immigration laws are enforced.
And it is certainly not racist to believe that the British people and their interests should come first.
I’ve watched this operation from the beaches, the camps and the water.
Throwing more money at France isn’t my answer.
Remove the incentive. Enforce the law. Break the business model.
It’s time to put Britain first.
Here's a question nobody seems keen to answer.
Why do we call it a HEALTH service when so much of the system is built around treating illness?
Where is the national obsession with prevention, nutrition and keeping people well in the first place?
We should be investing in health BEFORE people become patients.
Not just managing the consequences afterwards.
The main purpose of taxation is no longer simply to raise revenue. It increasingly feels like a way to demoralise the population.
Tax what people earn. Tax what they spend. Tax what they save. Tax what they own. Tax what they leave behind.
And then lecture them about working harder.
At what point does taxation stop being a contribution to society and start feeling like punishment for participating in it?
As someone who campaigned stronglyfor us to Leave and had been calling for a referendum for years I find this utterly ridiculous. This is a real attack on decent people all over the country who were absolutely fed up with the UK being subject to the anti democratic EU Commission telling us what to do National borders matter and UK unable to make our own decisions with genuine sovereignty was why I campaigned to Leave. This is a huge insult to millions of British people who certainly were not influenced in their note by ANYONE from Russia. Deliberate lies and disappointing that the Prime Minister has stooped so low All part of trying to get us back in but the British people are not stupid !
Do you really think it’s a coincidence?
The food industry spent decades engineering products designed to make you crave more, eat more, and keep coming back for more.
Highly refined carbohydrates, added sugars, and combinations of fat, sugar, and salt that overwhelm your natural appetite regulation.
Foods that can drive repeated insulin spikes, disrupt hunger and satiety signals, and make it harder for your body to access stored fat.
Think about that.
An industry that profits when you keep eating has created foods that make it increasingly difficult to stop eating.
And then we’re told the obesity epidemic is simply a lack of willpower.
Maybe the problem isn’t the people eating the food. Maybe it’s the food we’ve been engineered to eat.
Do your jobs @premierleague - you’ve found @ManCity guilty of all 115 charges, making them the biggest cheats in football history. So now announce their punishment immediately, act on it, and save this season from being an irrelevant farce.
Communism requires a government to abolish private property, dictate prices, and punish unauthorised trade. Without that coercion it cannot exist and with it the pattern is shortages, stagnation and loss of freedoms as governments hoover up all the assets and public wealth.
Socialism produces the same failures by concentrating ownership and investment in political hands: planners lack the knowledge and incentives to allocate resources efficiently.
Corporatism is not a counterexample. It is a horrendous collusion in which large firms and governments jointly set rules, subsidies and barriers. The public pays for the losses while the government privatises the gains. It is government facilitated corporation privilege, not capitalism.
Capitalism - supporting small businesses, private property, voluntary exchange and open competition under ethical business law - delivers the broadest rise in living standards precisely because it uses decentralised knowledge and aligns incentives and growth with results. It creates stronger growth and better infrastructures.
Systems that concentrate economic power in the state always fail. Systems that let firms buy the state generate costs at public expense. Systems that protect open competition and private rights produce the most equitable and free societies.
If there is foreign interference in British elections as the Prime Minister has just warned us, why is he so keen to remove photo ID from our ballot box?
Your body keeps two months of fat in storage and less than one day of carbohydrate, which tells you what it was expecting to run on.
Your entire bloodstream holds about one teaspoon of sugar. Any more and an alarm goes off.
Your liver and muscles hold perhaps 2,000 calories of carbohydrate. A day, if you sit still.
A lean adult carries around 100,000 calories of fat. Six weeks and more, with no further instructions.
You store vitamin B12 for three to five years.
You store vitamin A for months, in the liver, like every other hunter.
You store vitamin D in your own fat, to see you through a winter.
You store almost no vitamin C. Scurvy takes about a month.
Look at what gets a warehouse. Fat, and the nutrients that come in an animal.
Those arrive in gluts. A kill, a feast, then nothing for a week. So the body built somewhere to keep them.
Carbohydrate gets a shelf. If none turns up, the liver simply makes its own, and has done every night of your life.
There are essential fats. There are essential proteins. The textbook requirement for carbohydrate is zero, and it says so.
No engineer builds a 100,000 calorie tank for the reserve fuel and a one day tank for the main one.
The plate they drew for you is two thirds the fuel you were never built to store.
Today at the pro-Pal march:

BAN THEM!
Every fat has a number of doors oxygen can get in through, and the healthiest fat is the one with the fewest.
A saturated fat has no door. Oxygen bounces off it. That is why a block of lard sat on a cold shelf for a month in 1955 and nobody died.
A monounsaturated fat has one door, and it is stiff.
A polyunsaturated fat has two or more, wide open, and every one is a place the fat can be torn apart by air, light, heat or the iron in your own blood.
The share of each fat that is polyunsaturated, which is to say the share that can rot:
- Beef tallow: 4%
- Butter: 4%
- Lard: 11%
- Olive oil: 10%
- Rapeseed oil: 28%
- Corn oil: 55%
- Soybean oil: 58%
- Sunflower oil: 66%
- Grapeseed oil: 70%
The top of that list is what every kitchen on earth cooked in until 1911. The bottom of it is what you were told to switch to for your heart.
A fat with 4 doors in 100 and a fat with 66 doors in 100 are not two versions of the same thing. One is a wall. The other is a colander.
You are built out of the fat you eat, and you run at 37 degrees for 80 years. Pick the wall.
In all seriousness, our unelected PM Andy Burnham clearly thinks we are a nation of complete idiots.
We’re in a cost of living crisis & his answers are to save us 86 pence per week off electricity VAT, tell us google maps is the answer to our overpriced fuel problems & dangle other low hanging fruit gestures like £2 bus fares all whilst making stupid TikTok videos & constantly quoting things like “have hope in your heart”.
This imposter has been in office for 13 weeks & has done absolutely nothing to ease the financial burden that face most Brits today.
Energy bills are set to sky rocket, food prices are at an all time high & people are genuinely struggling to make ends meet.
Not to mention the money generated from our ridiculously high tax is then given away to foreign countries, ILLEGAL migrants & people looking for freebies while the country falls deeper into bankruptcy.
All this & I’ve not even mentioned the state of our national security & the clear lack of desire to stop the boats.
It honestly completely baffles me that anyone is actually falling for this nonsense & it equally blows my mind that a large majority of the British people are actually still supporting this toxic @UKLabour Party.
I was taught that a healthy breakfast looks like this. Oatmeal. Whole wheat toast with jam. A banana. A glass of orange juice. The food pyramid said it. My doctor said it. The American Heart Association said it.
104 grams of carbohydrates in a single meal. Your blood sugar spikes to 170 mg/dL within 30 minutes. Then it crashes. You are hungry again by 10 a.m. You reach for a snack. The cycle repeats.
Now look at the meal on the right. Eggs, bacon, avocado, butter. Under 5 grams of carbs. Blood sugar stays flat at 85 to 95 mg/dL for hours. No spike. No crash. No hunger.
Guess which one your doctor recommends.
