New Incident: Grizzly Ridge Fire is burring in the Vernal Ranger District northeast of Grizzly Ridge Yurt. The fire was identified this afternoon, July 13 at approximately 12:30 p.m. and is estimated at 1.5 acres. Crews and air resources are currently working directly to extinguish the fire.

Dispersed campers in the vicinity of Grizzly Ridge, Bassett Springs, and the neighboring radio tower should be prepared to relocate. No evacuations or closures are in place at this time.

The Wild Goose Fire in Millard county, Utah, burning east of Holden in steep terrain is now estimated at 100 acres.

Utah: The Tower Fire south of Scipio, Utah is starting to stand up. Resources are on scene working to build containment, and additional resources are en route.

The fire was last updated at 40 acres, but is much larger than that now. There are Red Flag conditions over the fire area, with temps in the mid 80s. The Great Basin is heating up.

Better MMA flight mapping puts fire size at approx 300 acres as of mid-Tuesday morning

The Lee Fire outside Meeker, Colorado has now grown to over 92,000 acres. Crews have been conducting firing operations to remove fuel in front of the main fire and protect structures in the area.

There are now over 1,200 firefighters on scene including 13 Aircraft, 62 Engines, 21 Hand Crews, and 13 pieces of Heavy Equipment. Highway 13 is closed at mile-marker 4 North of Rifle in both directions.

The fire made a big run the the Southeast resulting in some spotting across CR 5. The fire did not cross into Garfield County however, the increase in activity did initiated pre-evacuations in Garfield County.

Thanks to the subscriber who shared this view of the fire. Red Flags are again forecast across Colorado.

At least 3 large air tankers from Twin Falls are trying to slow the spread. Estimated at 2,200 acres.

Great Basin Team 5 has been mobilized to take command.
