@NDP The forests that are burning right now, we planted from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, as part of reforestation projects. The problem is - you have humans sitting down planting seedlings a 12-24 inches apart, causing the forests to be chronically dry. We did this.
@avilewis@avilewis In speaking to dozens of loggers in BC, the consensus is the fires burning now as hotter than ever, because we planted the forests. They're burning longer and hotter because they're only an arms length apart... Blaming this on climate change is unwise.
@APOSTLESULEMAN I want to say, I'm disappointed in the campaigners for this event as one of them SCREWED a poster for this event to a tree on my property. Represent God - don't harm God's creations in the process.
@Dave_Eby David, the issue here is that you're 'trying to build an economy' vs accept the economy that's already there. What you're doing here is saying 'this risk is unacceptable' vs 'this risk is better - but it also doesn't exist.' Bacteria eats oil spills. It's time to move on.
@B3man1 @ABDanielleSmith Hammond B3 "generator oil" is a custom-blended, additive-free, high-viscosity oil primarily composed of petroleum-based mineral oil designed to lubricate and protect the mechanical parts of the organ's tone generator.
@lastgencanada His logic is questionable. To say that a 'fire' is abnormal is a an unnatural conclusion. Also it's likely the pain was petrochemical derived, including the bottom of his shoes, so I don't get the point of this.
@lastgencanada What's worth more is actually caring about people's needs, and marketing your 'purpose' into those needs. What you did here is just bad marketing.
