#TBT: Today, The Strong Museum and its parking lot structure now occupy the site where several residences were demolished due to Inner Loop construction. Currently, the Museum is now investing in building a new neighborhood where the Inner Loop was removed.

#Projectupdates Formed by 2 members of the Community Advisory Committee, the Racial Equity Subcommittee was created to serve as an volunteer advisory committee tasked with developing a Racial Equity Impact Analysis as part of the Inner Loop North Transformation Study project.
Project Updates: A highlight of the 2nd TAC Meeting presentation featured the importance of current Traffic & Crash Data that indicated from 2014-2019 out of approximately 2,400 traffic crashes within the City of Rochester,1,400 occurred within the #ILN area alone.
Named after the University of Rochester’s first president, Martin Brewer Anderson— a large portion of Anderson Park was demolished for construction of the Inner Loop. Anderson Park was home to public gatherings, such as annual Christmas Celebrations.

Project Updates: Future engagement efforts by the project team consist of reaching different audiences that represent the populations of the Inner Loop North and its surrounding neighborhoods such as the youth, school-aged children and young adults.

#TBT: Featured in the Democrat & Chronicle Newspaper in 1953, Carhart’s Photo Service and Camera Shop building was demolished to make way for Inner Loop construction. This family business was once the largest photo developer in Western New York.
