Calling a woman “ashawo” because she danced with other people is not banter. It is not harmless. It is not something that should be brushed aside as “just a joke.”

Whether it was said in jest or not, words have weight. Labeling a woman a prostitute simply because she exercised the freedom to dance, socialize, or interact with other housemates reinforces a harmful mindset that no woman should be subjected to.
