Subject: As the hearing date draws near, the DSS continues to hinder Nnamdi Kanu’s right to fair trial

As the next hearing or trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case scheduled for 19th and 20th June 2024 looms close, the State Security Services (DSS) continues on its infamous path of frustrating every prospect of fair trial for Mazi Kanu.

Today, being 14th June 2024, the DSS once again exhibited its vested disrespect for judicial pronouncements when it (in disobedience of court order) refused Mazi Kanu’s legal team to meet with him as a team (or together) to prepare him for the said hearing/trial, commencing on 19th June.

The DSS insisted that members of the legal team (including the undersigned Counsel) must meet with Mazi Kanu separately or we must leave the premises. For this reason, Mazi Kanu’s team of lawyers left the DSS facility without seeing him, a situation that will surely complicate the hearing on 19th June.

This latest disobedience of a subsisting court order by the DSS is symbolic of what has become an executive self-indictment of the trial that the government itself and the Court insist must take place.

If they do not obey a simple court order that is directly geared to giving them the trial they so much desire, why then is the AGF still bent on prosecuting the case? Are we to believe that it is only a sham trial that they secretly desire? To be sure, it is impossible to prosecute a case without having the ingredients of a fair hearing in place.

These antics are further evidence that the case against Mazi Kanu has no merit, hence the reason every avenue for a fair hearing is being blocked. If the AGF through the DSS are apprehensive of the fell consequences of a fair trial, then they need to do the needful by discontinuing this case without further ado. Otherwise, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his legal team will resist any trial that is against the tenets of the Constitution.

A war without the support of the people should be reconsidered. How can people abandon security and massively supported the so called "IPOB terrorist" can't you see that sometimes is wrong. Time to stand with the masses and boldly tell the politicians that the people you are branding terrorists are not terrorist. Ignore my advice and you will continue to be an enemy of the people.

Sometimes in 2019 I travelled to Togo. I arrived Ilakanji by 2am. Our passports were stamped and we zoomed off to Lome without any issue.
On my way back I arrived idiroko border by 7pm. My Nigerian brethren told me border is closed. They do close border by 6pm.
Surprised, I enquired does a nation ever closes its borders to commuters especially when there's no emergency or an order to close? I told them how I arrived Togo by 2am and no one told me anything about border closure.
The guy without checking my passport asked me it's like you're an Igbo man. Instead of you to keep quiet and do whatever you're told to do, you're asking many questions. Common go inside and do whatever you're told to do.
I suddenly realised myself and did what they asked me to do without further questions. The Igbos are hated. This hatred has been since the preconolial periods. Igbos are hated for her brilliance, her entrepreneurial spirit and her ability to make out something out of nothing.
Recently I went to a yoruba man in Ilorin and I requested to withdraw through the POS. Since I'm not with my card, I'll do transfer. Both of us use @OPay_NG so there will be no transfer issues. He declined except i use ATM. The Okoro man near me asked for the transfer and we did our transaction.
Tomorrow when Okoro man enlarges his business they will come to tell him how yorubas own Ilorin. Several yoruba businesses around me rejected transfer during the cash crunch before elections even though I was willing to pay with 200 naira extra since I had no cash. Igbo businesses grabbed those opportunities.
When I see what's happening today in Lagos I see people that are not any different from the xenophobic South Africans, people who love wealth but are too daft to make wealth. They unleash their greed, grab the wealth and it vanishes from their hands. If I have life the hand that made wealth before can still make it again.
If you're an Igbo man and you're targeted hold your head high, walk majestically, laugh at those hungry buffoons. The hand that built those houses will still build more again.
Be proud of being the dot in the circle.
