Tech & Media Convergency (TMC) had an honor to have a brief side chat with Hon. Jerry Silaha (MP), the Minister for ICT in Tanzania and briefly shared what TMC has in store on the #InternetGovernance and #DigitalTransformation agenda.

Additionally, the ICT Minister and his team had a meeting with representatives from the Africa Internet Governance Forum (#AfIGF), East African IGF (#EAIGF), and Tanzanian CSOs to discuss the upcoming Africa IGF 2025, which will be hosted in Tanzania before the Global #IGF to be held in Netherlands (June 2025).

The representation of TMC at the IGF 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is a significant milestone for TMC and a vital opportunity to influence digital and #ICT governance policy in Tanzania. With the government of Tanzania embracing collaborative efforts from different key stakeholders it ensures effective and positive transformation through a multi stakeholder approach.

Tech & Media Convergency (TMC) represented by our CEO, Ms. Asha Abinallah, is excited to announce its participation at the #IGF2024. The meeting is hosted by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 to 19 December 2024 in Riyadh at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center (KAICC).

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is an annual global platform under the #UnitedNations (UN) that brings together stakeholders from over 100 countries to discuss public policy issues related to the internet. This forum fosters dialogue between governments, the private sector, civil society, and academia, promoting inclusive and sustainable digital governance worldwide.

Now in its 19th edition, the IGF serves as a crucial space for shaping the future of internet policies and ensuring citizens are at the center of digital transformation which compliments very well one of TMCs strategic pillar of (Internet and Data Governance). The overall theme of the forum also supports the work of more than 20 CSOs brought together through the Internet Governance Tanzania Working Group (#IGTWG) - a platform of likeminded vision of *Fostering Inclusive Internet Governance for a Better Digital Ecosystem"
