@JG4NDY@Clarky_697 Yep, definitely didn't have 2 clubs dominating the league in the late 90s/ 00s (pre-FFP) when they were allowed to spend obscene amounts on any players they wanted
@JG4NDY@Clarky_697 No, if clubs are expected to bring in high revenues and turn a profit it's a business. Spurs is "organic" insofar as their owners spent loads of their own money to improve the club and grow revenues before they helped convince the league to bring in FFP to raise the drawbridge
@Blanch_COYS2@Clarky_697@IvanGowan Not really, the players brought in are still tangible assets on the books of the club. They could be sold to reduce the wage bill and bring in revenue
@JG4NDY@Clarky_697 Why's it not fair? Name me literally any other business where somebody could buy a company and be banned from investing in them? The fair thing to do is allow unlimited investment as long as said investments aren't tied to loan agreements. No risk for the club then either
@billybutton1@lukestanley03 So we're just ignoring the whole "innocent until proven guilty" standing as per British law? Or do you have evidence the Premier League don't?
@Londonblue_2 Nostalgia is the only thing going for it. It was shite. An eagle to represent.... something, and 3 stars, presumably representing the relegation to the 3rd tier. Although to be fair it was perfectly shite, just like we were when we used that badge
@originaldavid3@thegingerwig Firstly, they've both just been relegated from the Championship. If they're not creating and scoring at that level then we should probably steer clear. And if we did decide to move for them it'd be for significantly less than ยฃ100m, even for both!
@EscambiaFLMan Tipping culture is easy. If somebody goes out of their way to provide a great service, they get up to 10% of the bill. My tip isn't to make up their wages, that's what the food and drink I bought is for. If they're being paid very little, thats between them and their employer
@raducrisanx First game was an FA Cup replay in February 1996 against Coventry. It pissed down and was bloody freezing the entire game. Couldn't wait to go again
@SillyOracle@piusmusabi1@TouchmineX Firstly, that's more than 20%. Secondly, most serving staff in a restaurant can serve more than 1 burger an hour. Tipping should be optional, for exceptional service. Not an expectation
@CharlesNF_no2@PaulTedWilliams@JohnLeFevre It's not even that they brag about being the best, it's the fact that regardless of what they're bragging about it always comes back to how they've made millionaires and billionaires even richer, while half the country can't even access basic healthcare without going bankrupt
@thesplund1@PurplePanel If they want it to count towards next year's totals they'll just schedule the transfer for July. Anderson is at a World Cup, makes no difference to City when it gets done, as he's not going to be doing any interviews and whatnot until after the tourney anyway
@RTandapany@DanisMCFC Muscle memory is a hell of a thing to overcome. They're only going to have practised with this ball with their national team for a couple of weeks. They're training and playing almost daily with a ball that behaves very differently the majority of the last 4 years
