For those wondering "What is Agalma?", id like to discuss this mod here.
Its a beta-inspired Portal 1 mod which features the gravity gun and actual combat using portals, set in an alternative universe Aperture Science.

@evileboxyboo@boxandrocks@swagoncarson They'll send contracts, the licensee will sign them, and Valve won't. Or they won't reply at all. Or they'll suddenly go dark. Or you'll get someone at Steam Support who thinks that there is no way to make a Portal 2 mod or something stupid like that (yes, seriously).
@evileboxyboo@boxandrocks@swagoncarson I wasn't gonna weigh in on this at all (partly because I don't use Twitter anymore) but logged in for this: No, Valve have genuinely been fucking around with a ton of Source projects for a while now. It isn't just PUNT.
@evileboxyboo@boxandrocks@swagoncarson source 2 licensing is it's own microcosm as it has it's own seperate team, s&box's core features are surprisingly far removed from mainline versions of source 2 are, and most of what remains is the tools. although the way content is delivered on s&box does indeed feel roblox-y :P
@evileboxyboo@GodOhWar1@boxandrocks notice how none of these are total conversion mods? and aperture tag costed insanely little, and valve likely projected it to fail.
It's been long enough. Valve killed punt in 2023. Missed our agreed release window and then demanded more money. Ghosted when we tried to negotiate. I worked on PUNT for 10 years. It was basically done.
Valve isn't your friend, and can't be trusted past Steam. Don't use Source.
@boxandrocks this project is cursed, i swear. i really do wish you the best of luck with the port, it's such a shame source engine licensing is such a mess, and im shocked they treated you like they did.
