Farage read the words of police officer:
‘I’ve been recently made to take compulsory race training where I was told of my white privilege and that I work in an institutionally racist organisation. I was made to learn about Black and South Asian history.’
The Novak family made clear that the police got things wrong, and spelled out how with infinite dignity.
Police double-standards are an entirely legitimate subject for public debate.
As someone who 'took the knee' for the discredited BLM movement (which sought to abolish prisons and defund law enforcement) you are in no position to criticise anyone for politicising a death in police custody.
As a politician struggling to hold onto office you are entitled to play every card at your disposal.
But this is amoral and grotesque.
The quango State in a nutshell:
“I thought we elected you guys to decide things not to get other people to decide them”
Trevor Phillips exposes the heart of the problem with modern UK politics: a generation of politicians have outsourced decision-making to unaccountable bodies.
Henry Nowak was brutally murdered in Southampton, not very far from Fareham & Waterlooville.
But the police initially treated him like the aggressor simply because he was white. And his murderer, Asian.
Hampshire Police’s response has been wholly inadequate given that an innocent man was tragically killed and police officers very possibly put his life at risk.
To me, this looks like racism- against a white man.
I have written to Hampshire Police demanding that the body cam footage be released.
No cover ups.
Public confidence demands full transparency.
"Ex-Iraqi soldiers" are forcing away Belgian police trying to stop migrant boats crossing the Channel. This is an invasion and it's time Britain moved to a war footing to secure our safety.
My latest Friday monologue.
The story isn't just that Anthropic shipped Opus 4.8 today.
It's that on the same day, a $65B raise pushed its valuation to $965B, past OpenAI's $852B.
The model that's 4x less likely to let bad code slip is now worth more than the company everyone's chasing.

Mostly true. What matters is securing the long-term future of consciousness, both on Earth and other heavenly bodies.
We cannot just focus on Earth, because there are irreducible external (eg massive meteor) and internal (eg global nuclear war) cataclysmic risks.
The Moon is faster to make self-growing, but is more susceptible to problems on Earth. Mars will take longer to make self-growing, because it is so hard to reach, but is more secure from Earth disasters for that same reason.
Both the Moon and Mars should have self-growing civilizations. Making this happen is the prime directive of SpaceX.
Reform 40%. Restore 7%. Burnham 43%. The Sunday Times poll for Survation at Makerfield shows the split right will bring in our most Lefty Prime Minister ever.
Grateful if Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe would put down their swords and pick up the phone.
🚨Important policy announcement:
Britain was built on the hard graft of people who go the extra mile.
A Reform government will ABOLISH income tax on hours worked beyond 40 hours a week, for incomes below £75,000 a year.
It’s time to REWARD hard work, not punish it! 🇬🇧
Neil’s narrator adds:
Since the Brexit referendum the UK economy has grown faster than Germany, France and Italy, which are all still in the EU. So much for the Brexit drag.
The higher inflation, higher interest rates and poor fiscal position are overwhelmingly the result of the economic policies of previous Tory governments, exacerbated by the current Labour one, which continued to borrow too much, tax too much, spend too much. Hence the UK’s high gilt yields. Brexit didn’t even have a walk on role.
🚨 Starmer says Brexit made Britain poorer.
But the GDP data tells a more awkward story.
Since the Brexit vote:
UK real GDP: +12.1%
Germany real GDP: +6.0%
Britain is not booming. Nobody serious should pretend it is.
But Europe’s supposed economic engine has grown at barely half the UK’s rate.
So why is Starmer’s big answer still more Europe?
This wasn’t a reset. It was a relapse: more Brexit blame, more Brussels, more excuses.
No wonder voters are walking away from Labour.
20 Oct 2020: Andy Burnham appeared “shocked” live on TV after being handed the Tier 3 funding text — but reports later suggested he’d already been briefed. Political theatre like this is why trust in Labour keeps collapsing. @RobertJenrick#ReformUK
