@Dehonestlies@seattledot Huh? What's the heck is the "Woodland Park Zoo bridge"? Do you mean the Aurora Bridge, cause that's owned by a different agency (WSDOT) and was repainted a few years ago. The I-5 ship canal bridge is also owned by WSDOT.
@typewriteralley Wow! Saka actually said both these things in the same announcement! “This isn’t about killing transit, it’s a 1-for-1 transit-for-transit investment." "I'm also taking $1M from the Transportation Levy to fund transit security & make SDOT write a report on its security policies."
@PoulChapman He probably asked what it costs to put in a left turn lane so traffic could move past turning cars which would require removing the bus lane and more. That or he just pulled a random number out of his ass... Hmm, yeah, nevermind my first guess, that's definitely what happened.
@typewriteralley Hate to break it to you, but it looks like this recreation being sold on Amazon: - Seattle Map by George Cram Circa 1901 - 457 mm x 610 mm) https://t.co/wv9S55MDoC
@AshleyA_RC I agree with you. The sarcasm was directed at city hall doubling down on a comp plan that restricts easy revenue sources during a budget crisis. If businesses were allowed in more neighborhoods, there'd be more sales tax revenue from those parts of town. Sorry that wasn't clear.
@NickSattele@seattledot Is that a signage issue, or a drivers being @$$holes issue? Hard to believe that they missed the red paint but would be convinced by a sign.
@typewriteralley Ugggh... Corner lots with 3 off street parking spots! Why?! Seriously, who hates the idea of having a cafe or small book store on their block so much?
@Qagggy This will revitalize and support small mom & pop shops for Main Street Americans. As long as the business is literally located on "Main St" in the city of America and the owners are under 5'6" and have children.
@dieworkwear Why aren't there any long raincoats that go well with a suit and have a hood? (Or are there?) I love the topcoat and trenchcoat look, but without a hood it doesn't actually seem that useful in the rain. Any advice?
@FifthCrichton@Qagggy If you aren't bringing your visiting friends to the new UW greenhouse built in 2022 then your aren't doing your job as a host and tour guide.

@typewriteralley I'm curious to hear more about what you mean. I've mostly heard people I trust say that the STP is better than the previous plans mode vs mode plans.
@Qagggy Yes, and... Even if traffic did behave like a inanimate physical substance, it would not be a basic liquid or a glass. It would be a Non-Newtonian fluid fluid. https://t.co/9M7Q2oWDGl
@typewriteralley I live in Licton Springs. This route doubles my frequency to get to light rail & Greenwood. That's great, but duplicates Rt 45. I'd much rather get back my connection to Wallingford (Rt 26 which was turned into the inferior Rt 20 in 2021 and then finally killed last week).
@pushtheneedle I'd rather push for more streets to be converted into active space than paving grass fields. Little Brook Park, Detective Cookie Chess Park, Pac Man Park, and the pickleball courts on 6th Ave in Belltown are all good examples in Seattle. We need more of this!
