@JonPgh guessing it's something like this:
1)pitcher with bad stuff and bad command is not going to be in the big leagues.
2)Need good Location+ to be in the league with bad Stuff+
3)Better stuff is harder to control. More force more acceleration from the body = harder to be precise.
@FoolishBB Even if Rice ends up with only like 50% of possible ABs vs LHP he's easily going to be a top 50 player this year. Stop coping bailey. You look bad not having a top 10 hitter in the sport on your list.
@VirginiaYankee1 Funny coincidence i guess. Watch the broadcast and you'll quickly see that the locations on gameday don't match what's happening in the game at all.
@VirginiaYankee1 I'm bullish because he can hit all different types of pitches. He's not one of those guys that can't hit a slider to save his life or whatever. K's will always be part of his game and you have to accept that but he's not easy to pitch to.
@RyanGarciaESM He cannot be traded. If he becomes a star for another team it's going to be so disgusting. I'd rather have him be a bust as a Yankee than mash for some other team.
@WilfredBergqvi1 The metrics on his defense have fluctuated, he's certainly not worse at 3rd than IKF. His big issues offensively are his batspeed is down and he chases too much. Those 2 things happen to be the only things offensively the org has had success with improving. I like the bet.
@RyanGarciaESM I'm thinking more try to get a -5 ivb type slider(deathball). Mets love this shape and giving it to all their guys. Whatever velo that's going to have you'll take it. Warren can spin the ball so should be ok?
Will Warren's Sweeper is just too big. Too easy to see out of the hand, no one is chasing it. Been this way the whole season. He needs to throw a shorter slider(gyroball). I'm surprised the pitching coaches aren't having him try out some stuff, they do it in-season all the time.
@RyanGarciaESM Everything Hendricks throws comes into a RHB and yet Volpe and Goldy are chasing on pitches way inside. How about look out over the plate and show some solid approach for once??
@WilfredBergqvi1@BobbyMilone29 Devils advocate: The yankees organization needs Bellinger to be in a good place and get going offensively otherwise he'll opt in to 25m next year and ruin their future plans. Can't sit Belli against a righty right now.
@jinwook67914146 2/2)Reason his numbers last yr where bad is it looks like his maxEV in Tampa was 106mph. Hard to put up good numbers with a fly ball approach lacking raw pop to such a degree. But obv a 6ft1 kid only 20 years old projects to improve on that, and it seems he did over the offseason
@jinwook67914146 1/2) Jasso is very intriguing yes. Has that Trout/Judge style very angled swing, leading to lots of fly balls. Coupled with a very strong approach at the plate. You can see why the FO would push him.
