Students, faculty & administrative staff gathered to honor the National Flag Day. Choral director Yariel Olivera led the singing of the National Anthem as the national flag was hoisted. The Baxter Anthem echoed through the air as the flag representing our institution was raised.

The construction of the marrieds apartment is nearing completion. Engineer Leonel Juárez, together with his construction crew, has done a great job for our Institution. A future with 100 students trained to serve the Kingdom of God approaches.

Admissions Director, Ronny Cerrato, journey to Colombia to participateed in the National Encounter of Preachers, August 1 to 4. The gathering brought together 87 preachers, including 18 Baxter graduates hailing from Colombia, Mexico, Honduras, Dominican Republic & other nations.

Professor Geovanny Moreno led his Freshmen class in creating maps that showcased the geography of different biblical places using commonly available materials. The maps were not only informative, but also displayed impressive creativity. Well done to the students who took part!

We were pleased to have on campus Peruvian Tomas A. Parillo, a 1996 graduate, and his wife of 22 years Honduran Miriam Martinez. They reside in Peru with their three children. Tomas is a missionary and educator. He is the current director of the Global School of Missions in Lima.

The Baxter Chorus and its director, Yariel Olivera, traveled to San Pedro Sula to perform at the Barrio Barandillas Church on Saturday 7/27. Edwin Martinez from Nicaragua shared a meditation. On Sunday, they were part of their worship service making another presentation.

Our Baxter students from Peru received a special invitation from the Embassy of Peru in Honduras to attend the celebration of the 203rd anniversary of the Proclamation of the Independence of the Republic of Peru. The event was graced by diplomats from many countries.

A mission brigade group from the Brentwood Hills Church, Nashville, TN, toured the Baxter. They were especially interested in seeing the construction of the new married apartments. Later, they spent
quality time with the students. Brentwood has supported Baxter for 35 years.
