[Standing outside of the Armory Palace, Alyosha craned his neck to peek over the shoulder of the guard at the gate. Thankfully, he'd been there enough to see Valeriy and Mitya that the guards knew he wasn't there to cause problems.
Tugarin at their side, they watched as the sun
@WORKDITCHER [Following behind Mitya, Alyosha circled the tree, winding the rope tightly around the trunk of the tree. The branch and rope creaked under the strain of the elk's weight.
When he couldn't wrap the rope any tighter, he held a hand out towards Mitya.]
Pass me the end of the
@WORKDITCHER [Glancing back at them as they went to take the end of the rope, he let out a short chuckle- or as much of one as he could while trying to lift the dead weight of an elk.
Even Tugarin attempted to help, nudging the elk towards the tree. After some effort from all three,
@WORKDITCHER it crouched by the hind legs of the carcass, tying the rope tightly around the elk's ankles. Then, trailing the rope over to the tree, it tossed one end over and began to pull, slowly dragging the creature over and hoisting it into the air.]
@WORKDITCHER That's exactly what I'm going to do. Let gravity lend a helping hand...
[Rummaging through his bag once more, he pulled out a length of rope. It's no wonder he needed Mitya to carry extra bullets.. his bag seems absolutely stuffed to the brim.
Circling the elk in front of it,
@INKCAPFUNGI get this kid off his tail, he might as well keep an eye on them. It was better than letting them run out into the blizzard at least.]
You gotta stick close and listen if you're coming with me.
@INKCAPFUNGI I wouldn't hurt a kid. I only hurt "beasts" and hunt game.
[It seems a little irritated that they keep suggesting it might hurt them. That completely goes against its morals!]
If I let you tag along, you're not going to take my next kill, are you?
[If he can't
@WORKDITCHER Tossing the food to Tugarin, it murmured gentle words of praise to the husky, congratulating him on a job well done.]
Mitya, does that tree seem sturdy? These elk need to be bled out before we can do anything with them.
@WORKDITCHER [The last elk is too spooked to be worth pursuing... so it simply waves a hand to call for Mitya, assuming they're watching.
While waiting for him to approach, it reached into its bag, pulling out a small package- which, upon being unwrapped, contained a bit of smoked sausage.
@INKCAPFUNGI only to see them pull a pistol out.]
You'd better be careful. You'll accidentally shoot someone waving it around like that.
[Though.. would that be an issue for them? Couldn't they just dispose of the body?]
@INKCAPFUNGI [Frowning at the pouch in his hands, he let out a sigh, warm breath billowing in a cloud around his face. He'd just redistribute the extra. No need to keep it for himself.
This kid- man are they stubborn.
It looked up from the pouch as they continued to speak,
@INKCAPFUNGI [As they dug through their bag, pulling out more mora than any kid should reasonably have, his expression grew even more shocked and confused.]
That's way too much. I can't take your money.
[Who's kid is this anyway?! And how did they destroy that bear so quickly?
@INKCAPFUNGI honestly believes the child meant no harm, but.. that could've fed so many people. The pelt could've been used to make warm clothing... What a loss.]
@INKCAPFUNGI [As astounded, and irritated, as he was at what they'd done, the sight of them fighting back tears was one he didn't like. So, he slung his gun over his shoulder, furrowing his brows and crossing his arms as he stared down at them.]
My name is Alyosha, and that was my bear.
[It
@INKCAPFUNGI and for not ensuring there wasn't anyone else around before firing his gun.
Jogging over to where the bear laid, he was about to warn the child to be careful as they climbed, but he stopped in his tracks as he watched the flesh and fur if the bear practically disintegrate.
