Grateful to all non-indigenousNevadans who are disavowing/rejecting the label “#NativeNevadan,” a label steeped in white-male priv·i·legepriv·i·lege, old-boy networks, and patriarchy!
@AmyBaugher @AlwaysbMovin Yes, there are a few hate groups two hours or more north of Moscow. Meanwhile, “liberal” states like California and New York absolutely dwarf Idaho in the number of hate groups by a wide margin.
@everclay1@TheLeoTerrell Exactly. These idiots treat both FB and Twitter like they are a public good for free speech, when in fact, they never were. Inciting violence isn’t a problem for them, but ejecting one user who heinously, and repeatedly, violated the terms of use gets them worked up. Disgusting.
@sansdn If you can find such a provider, it looks like psychedelics (psilocybin, LSD, or ketamine) might help. Until then, Gregorian chants, Sufi chants, Dzogchen meditations have been my go to way out of suffering.
@AshBCoffin So for this gent "becoming a Marxist" is somehow like stepping in dog poo, and then realizing he smells like poo, he is just like "fuck it, I'm voting Republican!"
Our life is impossibility, absurdity. Everything we want contradicts the conditions or the consequences attached to it, every affirmation we put forward involves a contradictory affirmation, all our feelings are mixed up with their opposites.
"In [Western] philosophy, you can be a Platonist, an Aristotelian, a Kantian, Spinozist, while in other cultures, schools like Daoism, Rujia, Sāmkhya, Yoga, Nyāyá, Vedānta, Kalām and Falsafa are not typically named after people." - Julian Baggini
Facebook and Twitter need to do better than the lame ideological excuse that politicians can post false and inflammatory things on their platforms, and the "truth" will somehow be sorted out in some mythical "marketplace of ideas."
#TakeTrumpOffTwitter is trending because Trump violates the terms of service every day, and one grieving widower wrote an open letter to Jack Dorsey about Trump’s Tweeting his wife was murdered by Joe Scarborough. Is he above Twitter law, too? https://t.co/n7ITNr25nZ
A year ago my husband was banned from Twitter for life, right after Jack Dorsey met w/ Trump at the WH.
...not for tormenting the widow of a dead woman w/ conspiracies, but for creating alternate accounts to monitor a Trump supporter stalking me at work.
