€1 million #Community Fund for North Kildare! 🎉

This week Intel Executive Vice President Naga Chandrasekaran announced a €1 million Fab 34 Community Fund for North Kildare that will be used to support a series of community-based projects in Leixlip, Celbridge, and Maynooth.

This fund is in addition to the €1 million community donation made to coincide with the opening of Fab 34, which has been committed towards a swimming pool for North Kildare.

We look forward to sharing further details of this new community fund in the coming months.

There are 52 girls involved in the panel, and they have had a wonderful season with both the A and B teams winning All-Ireland Championships in recent weeks.

€264,330 donated to Irish Organisations through the Intel #MatchingGrant program!🎉

Last year, Intel Ireland employees volunteered over 26,000 hours that were matched with a $10 grant from the Intel Foundation, resulting in a payout of €264,330 for 220 organisations in Ireland

Intel recently sponsored the ‘Best #Engineering Project’ at this year’s @DCU Final Year Project Expo. The first-place prize was given to Rían Gill for his project “Dynamic Position Control of an Aerodynamic Sail to Increase Energy Efficiency”.

Joint second place was awarded to Daniel Connolly for his project “Sensor-Fusion Vision System for AGV Navigation in Human-Shared Environments” and Paul Moore for his project “Exploring the Feasibility of Retrofitting Internal Combustion Engines to Electric Vehicles”.

We celebrated National #Biodiversity Week by inviting 5th-class students from Leixlip primary schools to a special activity that was held in a forested area and meadow, located in the northwest corner of our campus just beyond the Rye River🌳

25 PhD's from @tcddublin recently visited our Leixlip campus.🏭

The group, from the Schools of Chemistry, Physics, & Engineering, had the chance to meet Intel staff, tour the campus, and take part in a teamwork activity that reflected the work that happens at Intel every day.

Last month, 35 employees from our Fab Facilities Equipment Operations team visited the Saint John of God facility in Celbridge to repaint and rejuvenate the gymnasium.

Saint John of God Community Services provides a range of services for people with intellectual disabilities.

Over the course of two days, the gym space was revamped from a previously multi‑coloured scheme to a dusty blue finish. In addition to painting the facility, Intel sponsored a full floor polish for the gymnasium to give the flooring a new lease of life and ensure it is fit for the many purposes it serves.

We're delighted to announce a commitment of €1 million to a #swimmingpool for North Kildare.

@KildareCoCo shared today that it is commissioning a detailed site feasibility study for a possible swimming pool on lands in its ownership, close to both Leixlip and Celbridge.

The Intel donation was made to coincide with the opening of Fab 34, our newest manufacturing facility in Ireland.

Shout-out to our construction team, who took on their own version of #DarknessintoLight to raise awareness and funds for people who have been affected by suicide or self-harm.
