After an isolated and first time bite incident involving a family member, the city of Tuscan, AZ unlawfully removed Snuggles from his family’s homestead—and his family has now been fighting to bring him home for almost a year!

They have had to fight simply for proof of life. They have spent well over $20,000 to keep their own dog boarded at a local shelter, where he is receiving minimal medical care, if any at all. His family has not received a single photo update and has not been allowed to see him.

Even more disturbing, county reports have characterized the incident as a “mauling” and an “attack.” Those descriptions are blatantly false and completely misrepresent what actually happened.

Snuggles was born and bred to be a working farm dog. He is a gentle giant who is deeply loved by his family. Instead, he has spent nearly a year confined inside a small enclosure on a cement floor, separated from his family, his farm, and everything he knows—with no end in sight.

This is animal cruelty. This is a violation of basic rights. And all of those involved in #tuscanaz must be held accountable!

I agree with private property and free markets (with some exceptions), but whatever is masquerading as ‘capitalism’ today needs to be completely destroyed. It's now just giant corporate monopolies plundering the public. It's also created a culture devoid of any meaning.

I'd much prefer to live in an actual civilization even if we have a lower GDP. This society is horrid. Most of the wealth is also concentrated in the hands of a few ppl at the top— and to make it worse, they are using cheap immigrant labor from illegals and H1bs. GDP worship needs to die, quickly. This happened at the end of the Roman republic when the wealthy screwed over actual Romans by bringing in so many slaves to replace them.

This doesn't even bring up the issue of automation/AI which is going to be a big problem. Who will control the robotics that do much of the labor/production? A small class of global plutocrats? The government? The people? We need to start discussing this stuff because our "leaders" are inept scum.

Folks, this Cato guy @David_J_Bier is a perfect voter guide. Just do the exact opposite of whatever he recommends.

He wants markets to self-regulate immigration with a presumption of openness and no real government veto.

He obviously has not studied history.

How did pure market self-regulation work out for the housing bubble in 2008?

The difference is extremely important, folks. Housing bubbles eventually pop, and the bad paper gets written off. Importing people is permanent. You don’t get to unwind the illegal aliens that u consider human capital.

Import the third world and you become the third world.

When someone’s ideal policy pretends markets magically fix human differences the way they supposedly fixed mortgages, invert the advice.
