Every Independence day after the 1959 for us is very special.

Special because nobody expected us to have as many independence days.

Everyone expected us to fall apart, descend into internal chaos, civil war, break into a hundred different countries and split into a million different groups.

We were supposed to become another backward, conflict ridden hellhole who would have gotten nowhere without White people support.

But we are still here. And we are doing okay.

Before India, nobody believed that a common cultural identity is enough to keep a nation together.

They thought it needed an ideology or a religion.

Or the iron hand of a dictator.

Nations formed on a common religion have broken apart.

Nations formed on the basis of ideologies have shattered.

Nations under dictatorships have disappeared.

But we march on. Together. As one nation.

Every Independence day is the day we should feel proud of ourselves. Proud on how far we have come.

Because nobody gave us a chance.

And we proved and we keep proving all of them wrong.

One of the biggest life lessons that I learnt while building BharatRajya is that, building things gives you a different feeling.

The joy and satisfaction that you get after building or creating is something that I have never experienced before.

It cannot be explained in words.

At first when you build you become irritated. Angry. Frustrated. You hate the world. You hate people around you. Everything seems to be falling apart. You feel absolutely useless.

But then as things start taking shape, you start feeling better. You become positive. You become excited.

And on the day, when what you envisioned in your imagination finally becomes reality, you are over the moon.

You are more optimistic. You are looking forward to things. You now notice only good things around you.

You actually become a different person.

The beauty is, this feeling stays even if what you built doesn't actually work.

It is the very process of building and creating that brings out all these good things within you. The outcome actually doesn't matter. You actually live the "Do your work, detach from result" quote from the Bhagvad Geeta.

I don't know if BharatRajya will work. In all probability it will be one more site that nobody visits in the vast wilderness of the Internet

But the day I saw the map on screen, a map that had only existed in my imagination till that date, the awesome feeling I had cannot be explained.

It is like Melody Chocolate. You have to eat it to know it.

So guys, wherever you are, build and create something. Size doesn't matter. Purpose isn't important. It could even be something small that solves your problem.

But the feeling of happiness that you get after seeing something take shape and become reality

It will surely make you a better person.
