•In Wales, 256 innovation projects have been supported for a value of £28.5 million
•In Lithuania, the high-tech and advanced manufacturing projects supported increased to 8
The aim of #Manumix is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Advanced Manufacturing innovation policy mix through evaluation and learning. In addition to the Basque Country, Lithuania, Piedmont in Italy and Wales in the United Kingdom have been part of the project.
It is in advanced manufacturing that companies' expenditure on R&D and innovation is most important in the #BasqueCountry. Manufacturing industry represents a large part of the region's economy: in 2018, it accounted for 21.1% of GVA, higher than the 17% of the EU-27.
