The Hard Fork Working Group meets later today! โ๏ธ
HFWG meetings are now twice weekly, Tuesdays and Thursdays, as we rapidly approach the van Rossem hard fork on mainnet.

Notice for db-sync operators
We identified a bounded issue affecting derived epoch aggregate values (epoch.out_sum and epoch.fees) in db-sync versions 13.7.0.0โ13.7.0.4.
The impact is limited to reporting, analytics, accounting, and dashboard use cases relying on these aggregate values following restart or upgrade events.
Importantly:
โก๏ธ Cardano consensus and chain operation are unaffected
โก๏ธ Canonical chain data remains intact
โก๏ธ No ledger state, balances, or on-chain history are impacted
โก๏ธ Recovery is straightforward as affected values can be fully recomputed
Mitigations are available now, with a permanent fix planned for db-sync 13.7.1.0.

@planetmaaz The TSC budget proposal (1,193,000 ADA) aims to provide credible technical insight to support DReps and community members.

The TSC budget proposal (1,193,000 ADA) aims to support DReps by providing technical guidance on proposals in future, and by helping to maintain essential technical expertise across the ecosystem.
@dori_coin Cardano lacks important governance components. We need to connect experts with DReps, define a strategy for each year, and then carefully prioritize.
Cardano governance has no direction. Individual DReps are just shooting in the dark based on their best judgment.
The Plutus Cost Model parameter update governance action was submitted on the PreProd testnet yesterday, May 7 2026. Progression on track towards mainnet.
While the new primitives included in this update will not become active until after the hard fork to protocol version 11, this update also contains changes to existing primitives that will take effect immediately after enactment. Developers are highly encouraged to test their existing settings once enacted, as some values have increased, ahead of the move to mainnet.

Cardano Node 10.7.1 is mainnet ready! This is expected to be the last version before 11.0. 11.0 is expected to have no user facing changes, so we recommend everyone updating to this release in preparation for 11.0 hard fork!

@DeOpenSourceGuy Apologies for that. It appears that both Christian Taylor and Georgii Plotnikov were both missed off this list. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Thanks Pete, I'd love to get on upcoming episode to talk more about it if you're keen!
Some quick answers to comments in the thread:
1. 70%+ of our budget ask is dedicated to technical coordination. This includes the prep and release of upgrades across all of Cardano's environments, core repo stewardship (Haskell), 24/7 timezone agnostic incident response, and the integrations and ongoing support of partners like Pyth and LayerZero.
This work is only going to widen with Cardano's footprint expanding. That's all positive news actually, Cardano branching out in the way we've started 2026 is big steps in the right direction, but conversely means we need to be building capacity in the back.
2. The administrator role we've performed so far has changed for 2026. Last year we didn't charge a % fee and included in our main budget ask ($7,875m). This presented issues which we've covered in a blog here https://t.co/ZtviTPb4hV.
Key point here is our budget this year is less ($6.35m) because of this change. Our budget now is heavily geared towards keeping Cardano resilient.
Thanks again, and let me know if you want to go through the detail on a episode ๐

Attention Developers โ ๏ธ
The new plutus cost model will be rolled out to PreProd this week and then one or two epochs later proposed on mainnet as Parameter Change Governance Action.
๐ฅIf your Dapp is not loading chain parameters dynamically, your contract transactions will break! ๐ฅ
Please verify all is good on Preview before things get nasty on mainnet, or on PreProd once its live..
