C20’s @InterWarChurch in today’s @guardian: “The effect of walking into the church is uplifting, the feeling of entering a shifting kaleidoscope of colour … must surely have made many a new town worshipper gasp in astonishment”
🎂Happy 50th to Maidenhead Library. The futuristic ABK designed building opened in July 1973, and was Grade II listed in 2003.
Its birthday bash was attended by former PM @theresa_may, our own @InterWarChurch, and Uncle Bulgaria from recycling pioneers @womblesofficial. Top that!
We had another fascinating and well attended 50th Birthday event last night. Thank you Dr Clare Price @InterWarChurch for unravelling the history of Maidenhead Library. Author Robert Thorogood will be joining us tonight at 7:30pm to discuss his work: https://t.co/tPbmmdVScf

“This plan would see a landmark 1930's art deco building lost from Oxford Street, to be replaced with a bland & undistinguished new block, making a farce of the commitments @marksandspencer have made to carbon reduction & net zero across their business.

Fantastic to see that the @C20Society conservation areas project is alive and well in Plymouth! Lots of hard work involved to get the post-war city centre designated @urbanistawc1@ERobinsonWild
Can anyone suggest a heritage consultancy, with an interest in c20th modernism, and an eye for graphic design, who’d be interested in undertaking a conservation area appraisal for central Plymouth? @ERobinsonWild
