Roj is a desolate camp housing thousands of women and children in northeastern Syria. Of the roughly 2,300 camp residents, an estimated 1,400 are children. The residents suspected of crimes need to be investigated and prosecuted; however, many residents, particularly the children, are victims of brutal circumstances.
Read more from Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau, the Bradford M. Freeman Managing Director of Global Policy at the Bush Institute, on how the U.S. needs to lead in dissolving these camps, which are often incubators for the next generation of extremism: https://t.co/NhMyXvkTiA

“Peruvians do not want it,” said former presidential candidate Yonhy Lescano on Twitter/X. “We admire Tupac Amaru, Micaela Bastidas [who led a rebellion against the Spanish in the 1700s] and other heroes. We stopped being a colony long ago.”
