Today is the 10th anniversary of Children's Grief Awareness Day and marks the start of #ChildrensGriefAwarenessWeek in the UK. The theme for the week is #RememberWhen – encouraging families to share memories together of the person who has died.
We applaud this positive ruling which acknowledges the inequality in the bereavement payment system for unmarried parents - a step in the right direction towards improving outcomes for bereaved children.

Just 7 months after the government cut the benefits available to bereaved UK families, the Life Matters task force reveals that there is no central record of the number of children affected by the bereavement of a parent.

This summer children who we supported after the death of a loved one created a “worry monster”, which encouraged them to talk about their worries. The idea was to write down worries & feed them in to the worry monster and his critters #ChildrensGriefAwareness#YoureNotAlone
