@Kamohelo_Moloii@Kate_LukZ You misunderstood...I'm saying that's the reason they have the surnames...I'm not saying they are originally Tsonga surnames. About Okon, maybe someone can address that.
@TsabathoFarms@Kamohelo_Moloii@Kate_LukZ They are not Tsonga surnames... Tsonga people may have them though. This just goes to show that you might meet a Tsonga/Shagaan Khumalo and think they know Zulu and it won't be the case...there's just a long history to it.
@Kamohelo_Moloii@Kate_LukZ The reason is that Tsonga/Shangaan communities have had centuries of interaction, migration, and intermarriage with Venda, Sotho, Tswana, Swati, Zulu, Ndau, and other groups. As a result, some surnames appear in multiple ethnic communities.

@IzogieIzzy@NoneofyourBzns_ Mshegu is not leading the family business because his dad didn't marry his mom. So my guess is him and his little brother didn't have the same mother... the dad married his little brothers mom and the kids inherited the business...
