Rocket League has the potential to be the biggest, most mainstream esport — rivaling the MLS in global viewership. But only if we unlock its ceiling by moving to UE5.
What will be the difference? Chaos Physics.
UE5’s Chaos system redefines how objects interact — real-time collision, adaptive force response, and dynamic hit modeling.
We already have mechanical geniuses (like Mech and Twiz) pushing the edge. But right now, they’re capped — not by skill, but by engine constraints. You can’t evolve when the system won’t let you.
Our competitors are already moving forward. Valorant included.
Epic will let this esport rot unless we take a stand.

Today we’re saying goodbye to coach @eekso2.
From a Grand Final appearance at EWC to top 4 at our first World Championship. Through thick and thin, you will always be a part of GeekayRL history 💙 💛
I’d also like to announce that I’m officially LFT.
I won’t be speaking in voice channels, purely to protect my identity.
However, I’m more than happy to assist with recruitment, tryouts, and preparation going into each event — think more godfather analyst than coach.
Feel free to reach out to me via DMs, and I’ll review your offers and decide.
Thank you.
Dare I say the bots + DDOSing is finally starting to impact pro play 🤔
Both NA and EU struggling with upsets becoming a lot more frequent, who would have thought not being able to grind consistently would have such an impact 🤷♂️
You know… something I’ve been reflecting on — and honestly, the real reason I stepped back from this account.
Outside of the abuse, Rocket League esports has just regressed. Massively.
People will point to Epic Games — funding, direction, whatever. But that feels like the result, not the cause.
The cause is the gameplay.
And I think the turning point is pretty clear when you look back.
Peak RLCS — COVID era. That was the height of offensive development. Mechanics evolving, synergy improving, teams constantly pushing the ceiling.
Then something shifted.
Not loudly — but enough to change the trajectory.
A playstyle came in that wasn’t about progressing the game, but about disrupting it.
Players like Comm and Virtuoso leaned heavily into demo-focused play — not as a mix, but as a core identity.
And it worked. So it spread.
Because if the most effective way to win isn’t to outplay teams, but to stop them from playing… then that becomes the meta.
And once that becomes the meta, development stalls.
Less focus on mechanical progression.
Less emphasis on fluid, creative teamplay.
More games decided by disruption, not expression.
It’s the same thing you’re seeing in football right now with Mikel Arteta and the focus on set pieces.
It’s effective. But it doesn’t elevate the game — it slows it down.
That’s what Rocket League became.
Optimised… but worse to watch. Worse to evolve.
And once the gameplay loses that edge, everything else follows.
Viewership, excitement, investment.
So when people question why things have dropped off — it’s not surprising.
The game stopped progressing.
And that turning point… was when disruption became more valuable than development.
Endpoint, Virtuoso. Version1, Comm.
You killed this game.
Surprised this isn’t common knowledge by now.
He’s been consistently let down — by coaches, teammates, and orgs — across his entire career.
Put him on LAN and the proof is undeniable.
I’d like to see him move to NA. Qualifying there is essentially free. Then we’d finally see his true level.
Karmine Corp might always be the little brother to Vitality. This offseason is just another example.
Juicy, in isolation, is a great pickup. If there was ever a player to replace Dralii, it was going to be him.
That was my stance—until I considered Stizzy. I didn’t think a Spanish–French–French roster would work. Then I remembered something important: BDS.
Now we’re looking at a situation where individual ability is outmatched, and the winning gene exists only on the yellow side of the fence.
Vitality will dominate EU this season, while KC fans watch in despair, clinging to the hope they’ll one day grow up to be like their big brother.
Just been laid off by my job for bringing my personal laptop to the office.
Sucks, but at least I can focus on what's important.
I just booked my flights to Chicago, who am I meeting at LAN?
Correct me if I'm wrong but this means:
3 players holding an EU passport could go to Reunion, play SSA and count as a "non import" team
NA orgs could also have a full "non import" team by importing 3 players from other regions and them having P1 visas
This solves nothing?
