@TomTugendhat@Keir_Starmer Probably doing what you guys did when you were in power with big business and Russia. The only difference would be that you guys benefit in secretive offshore shell company tax haven bank accounts. It's time HMRC required a full list of wordwide assets from all UK taxpayers.
@TomTugendhat Such a pity then, that it is necessary to cover the largest dรฉficit ever in public finances after 14 years of tory rule, and all that despite the erroneous assertions that Brexit would make the UK wealthier.
Time you guys started taking ownership of the problems you created.
@ClovisSangraill @PrivateEyeNews ..everyone in public life needs to be held to account. Over hhe years Private Eye has done thus while politicians have prevaricated. It's not political with Private Eye, they are our guardians thank goodness.
@damienslash@Anna_Soubry It looks pretty good from the cheap seats too! Would you rather rhe rich kids were back in charge, salting away your taxes in their secretive tax havens?
@TomTugendhat There most certainly is a problem with the public finances. Biggest national debt in the history of our country, and it has been largely serviced by printing money.
@TomTugendhat Such a pity your Tory party didn't do that when they were in power. It only looked after the wealthy, itself and party donors and never had the WHOLE country at the heart of it's interests. Very sad but 14 years wasted taking our country away from the European team we led.
@TomTugendhat We have a justice system that must remain beyond political control. All murderers should be punished and rehabilitated. The system must ensure that they are only released when they are no longer a danger to society and have shown remorse. Objective, not emotional decisions.
@danschm_ Pity the stats in the post is bollocks, but then tories have always tried to lie their way back in. What's new. They're starting all over again with more of the same.
@TomTugendhat@Keir_Starmer It's called democracy at work. Trident is expensive and it's right to question whether we need it or not, especially as foreign powers are managing to buy political parties and achieve their aims by spreading hate and disinformation. Much cheaper for them than nuclear weapons.
@TomTugendhat To be fair, I don't believe that is what the government are saying. They do seem to be saying that the government should take more responsibility for all the things that are outsourced and yet paid for by the public purse, as well as having regulators actually capable of the job
@Stealthfs @PeterStefanovi2 Hopefully the reinstatement of safe routes for asylum seekers that the previous government removed, meaning all those seeking asylum are vetted by UK embassy staff before they embark on a dangerous journey. It will save a fortune in policing and a madly expensive Rwanda policy.
