@stephenasmith Please. IMO, there was no misunderstanding. Your comments were very clear. It is not up to you to decide when someone decides it’s time to hang it up for their own mental health. You have no idea what they are thinking.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@ChrisRose Also, did Eddings see replay of blown out call at home? Any comments there? Also interesting that Marmol’s comments of alleged personal comments towards him by Eddings would be addressed in report. Didn’t confirm/deny it.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@ChrisRose Some things that I did not see in the article that I’m curious about is why, on Eddings announcement to the crowd of the confirmed called at third, where Cards lost their challenge, is why he sounded annoyed.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports Would you address the following inning where Jimenez denies the Tampa challenge but is overruled by the crew chief!

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports Although ejection clearly warranted, IMO, Tichenor was a little aggressive when Schumacher came back out. That said, notice Tichenor did not immediately eject Schumacher, he gave him a lot of leeway, you don’t see that every day.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports Rehak didn’t even look at Bogaerts. Had he been looking his way he would have clearly seen the tap prior to any noise from the dugout and all of this could have been avoided.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports @CloseCallSports - Marquez is the crew chief, he and Estabrook are dealing with Vitello. Why Barrett felt the need to get involved is beyond me. Five ejections this season and all from the 3B position? Makes you wonder.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports I’d like to understand why Dominguez’s challenge from the other night was denied by this crew when he clearly challenged the ball/strike call immediately.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports So my question is, if there was no appeal down to first base (maybe there was but I did not see it on the video) why is the first base umpire even getting involved?

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports Definitely a strike but I couldn’t tell from the video if anyone appealed down to the first base up to see if the batter swung. I think that’s what Counsell was asking. The swing call belongs to the HP ump unless the he/she asks for help. He called it a strike.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

@CloseCallSports @CloseCallSports - Appreciate it is the call of the HP umpire, and I am as far as possible from a Red Sox fan but, and feel free to double check me, but I believe the only two check swing calls CB made were against Story. He appealed to the base umpires on all the others.

@NYRangers IMO, the @NYRangers need to part ways with Drury. This is a dismantle, not a re-tool. Four head coaches so far. Poor communication with players & fans. Time for Drury to move along. Will make most fans, and players, much happier. Come on, James, time to do the right thing.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

2/2 but, IMO this is a complete disaster and incredibly difficult to watch. Sadly, it will probably continue to get worse until Mr. Dolan does the right thing. Want to retool? Start with Drury and then the entire coaching staff. Players clearly not responding. Can’t win at MSG.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

1/2 IMO opinion if there are now questions surrounding whether Adam Fox, a lifelong @NYRangers fan, who dreamed of playing for the Rangers growing up, wants to hang around, you really need to question the leadership of Chris Drury and others. Call it a retool or whatever you want

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

I am completely baffled by @NYRangers decision to trade Panarin to Kings now? Why not wait until closer to trade deadline when teams are more desperate and willing to give up more? What a steal for Kings. Didn’t give up much and extension signed by Panarin, very cap friendly.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

3/3 Contracts, including length, and no move clauses have been questionable. Why the need to air things out in public? Beyond me. Louder Islander fans at recent home game? Not acceptable. Come on, Mr. Dolan. Time to do the right thing for your loyal fan base.

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

2/3 Baffled by current direction of team. IMO this is not a retool but a complete dismantling of the team. IMO I think it’s time for Drury to go; I’m not the only one. Just listen to Garden chants. Currently on coach #4 of Drury era. Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate the GM?

[Bill Friedel @Invizibill]

1/3 - I went to my first @NYRangers game when I was 4 years old. I was hooked. Been a fan ever since. Been to games, regular season, playoffs, ASG, every home game in the 93-94 Cup run. Was there for Matteau and the night we won The Cup. Watch the road games.
