@bergi_e@puckempire When you have 6 years left and a contract that covers 5 of them, who cares about bridges? He already has generational wealth and now he wants to him and it is clear his GM isn't a year away from competing for a cup.
@Kuzmister@Sportsnet650@Sapsterr_ If you ask the same thing of all players you ignore their talent and their responsibilities on and off the ice. He should have said Petey is going to be asked to play up to his potential and I and the staff will do everything to help make thst happen.
@JLazzy23@chrismpeters@bet365ca@DailyFaceoff@FloHockey@ColbyCohen36@ProducerVick This never happens. Think of the financial impact. Players could collectively lose well over a billion dollars plus in salary over a decade. 200 18 year olds signed to entry level deals each year at roughly 800k is $1.6 billion over 10 years. You think the PA gives that up?
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey Many other teams have done this. Toronto denied Paul Maurice a chance at interviews. St Louis denied Mike Yeo chances at interviews. Many assistants and GMs are denied opportunities. Don't sign the contract and take the guaranteed money then complain when the contract is enforced
@CorneredCoach@lukefoxjukebox Why not make him GM? Because drafting is only one of many responsibilities a GM has. Example George McPhee, of Vegas, was able to run a great draft but was terrible when it came to making trades. Vegas had to move him upstairs because he was so bad at other parts of the job.
@NHLJackManning@SkylerWillden This guy never learns:
"Cassidy’s tenure in Washington lasted just 15 months, fired 28 games into the 2003-04 season with tales of how he mishandled the locker room spilling into the media."

@AdleyLamarKing This is on management for not acting. Playing 2/3 of the season with two legit nhl centers, Strome and Dowd is criminal to both the team and the fans. Happy Sourdif has shown he can play C but it was still a massive mistake.
@callsapidus@CJC_95 Protas and Crystal are Learning the pro game in Hershey and not being rushed. Which is good for their development. Hutson’s college season is still going and he isn’t available yet to sign. Odds are he will when it’s over and might get NHL games. Leonard is in the NHL.
@kingconnor24 He is below average at the nhl level. He was signed to be a 7th d for a reason. He is not in any way impressive. When we don’t notice him he is playing his best hockey. Sadly we notice his poor on ice decisions way too often.
@BaldPanarin What if Panarin decides not to waive his no move in another month because it is just not worth it? I mean he becomes an FA and NYR get nothing, like Toronto and Marner. Panarin did the Rangers a solid, while I dislike how Drury operates he made the most of a bad situation.
@M_MiracleMan This an excuse to explain inaction. Lapierre wasn't the answer last year, crushed some AHL players in preseason and then wasn't the answer this year. Then the lose PLD so they have 2 legit C's in the org (Strom and Dowd) and do nothing from game 6 on. This is on management.
@sammisilber The talent gap is too significant to ignore. When PLD got hurt they didn’t do anything and created a situation where the team has 1 legit center and he is a 2c on a contender. Believing in Lapierre after the preseason against AHL talent was a foolish while not having a plan B.
