Most traders juggle multiple platforms. Spot on one DEX. Perps on another. Bridge in between.
Ionex puts both in a single interface on Plasma. No unnecessary bridging. No switching tabs. Your capital stays where you are trading.
One account. Multiple positions. One risk pool ⚡
On Ionex, all positions share the same collateral pool.
What that means:
• Profits from one position can offset losses in another
• Your total equity supports all trades
• Margin is used more efficiently
Example:
- Long ETH, short BTC.
- If ETH drops but BTC drops more, your short can help balance your risk.
More flexibility. More efficiency. More responsibility.
Intent-based trading on Ionex ⚡
Instead of placing orders, you submit an intent that defines the trade you want to execute.
Here’s how it works:
• You specify the asset, size, and direction
• Solvers compete to provide the best quote
• The selected trade is settled on-chain
This model improves execution while keeping full control of your funds.
Airdrop update:
To ensure a smoother and more reliable distribution process, $INX will be available to claim on the Ionex dApp.
Same allocation. Same pro-rata distribution.
Claim opens May 08

Mark Price vs Index Price?
Perps don’t use the last traded price for liquidations.
• Index Price → the real market price (from spot exchanges)
• Mark Price → a fair price used to avoid unfair liquidations
Liquidations are based on Mark Price, not sudden spikes.
This helps protect traders from volatility.
Risk management isn’t just for trading
Even in pools, you need to:
• Choose wisely
• Monitor performance
• Adjust if needed

Basis Premium in perps ⚡
Basis is the difference between the perpetual price and the spot price.
Formula: Basis = Perp Price − Spot Price
When basis is positive:
Perp trades above spot = premium
Example:
BTC spot = $100,000
BTC perp = $100,500
Basis = +$500 premium
This often signals stronger long demand and can lead to longs paying funding.
When basis is negative:
Perp trades below spot = discount
Example:
BTC spot = $100,000
BTC perp = $99,700
Basis = −$300 discount
This can reflect stronger short pressure and may lead to shorts paying funding.
Basis helps traders read positioning, sentiment, and relative market demand.
