@svartalfajeim@LinusNaumann Revolutionary ideas that have a long term outlook and a game changing value proposition require steady and sustained effort on tackling the core issues, while the ‘end goal’ is merely the outcome of that effort. The IF’s efforts are clear for everyone to see. End goal will follow
@svartalfajeim@LinusNaumann And to be honest not a single soul who’s criticising ‘timelines’ has probably run and implemented a research project of this magnitude before. If the vision of IOTA could be built on a fixed roadmap on schedule to launch in 3 months time then any cryptoproject could have done it.
@svartalfajeim@LinusNaumann The Desaster here is your spelling of it 😅 Chrysalis as a network is far from a disaster, quite the contrary. Coordicide will only build on top of it and remove the coordinator - things can only get better. Everything else is your impatience.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Let’s also hope for a more ‘decentralised’ science in the future! I wonder how we can make this happen through DLTs. When science doesn’t need to rely on public funding we may provide them greater freedoms of expression.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal :) I see where you’re going with this. I do not wish to prolong the argument. You have a solid line of reasoning - accepted. However that does not negate other lines of reasoning by default. I will consider your views into my perspective. Thanks.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal I disagree, that’s why there’s a debate. Reality isn’t black and white, it’s a spectrum of Greys. I see your point but I don’t necessarily relate to all of them myself due to my reservations. Perhaps facts may emerge that may alter my position - I hope they do!
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal I’m not using Facebook as my frame of reference. I’m using my own judgement of the facts presented to me. Anyway we’re clearly on different sides of this debate. Let’s agree to disagree on some of these points :)
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal ok. Agreed - that is a way to look at it if one has to take the vaccine. However things are not always as nice as they sound if one looks under the hood. We may never know what the reality is here as individuals.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal How can one classify All other facts that are not from the government as fear mongering rumours ? This stark black and white is the problem. We just put all facts in the table and have all of them discussed with similar ground of reasoning. Then a semblance of truth might emerge.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal At the end of the day some fear the virus, others fear the ‘cure’ for the virus. Fear is all over the place with this topic.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Well distrust them for everything else but trust them on this one topic. Why ? All things in life must face the same acid-test shouldn’t they ? Why selective exclusion. And many people who won’t take it don’t do it out of ignorance.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Yes. Vaccination in theory can help prevent disease. Accepted. But theories need to be put to rigorous testing over long enough timeframes to guarantee risk-benefit for the population as a whole. Right now things have gone ‘live’ without that rigorous test. that’s concerning.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal My fears stem from a general mistrust of centralised authorities in deciding the fate of individuals by stepping into personal boundaries and freedoms of choice about their own bodies. I am only against forced vaccination campaigns, which will go against our human rights.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal If it were only that simple. Well I see where you’re coming from and there isn’t much to say about your line of reasoning. It’s valid - given you trust a certain set of facts. I respect your point of view in that.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Anyway this is creating a huge divide in society right purely because those who are for it cannot empathise with those are against it ‘for themselves’. No one is preventing someone else from taking it, but being forced to do something one doesn’t want is the start of autocracy.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Mainstream Science is funded by govt and corps. So if you F*** then the inference is that science that is funded by them must also carry over some of those qualities.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Threat from the vaccine is not millions of times smaller if one takes into account multiple pieces of information and facts that are not all coming from the centralised governing bodies. These facts are the foundation for all other conclusions. In the end Who do you trust ?
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal Making an emotional judgement on this by citing ‘care for elderly relatives’ is not taking into account the reality of the experiment that the skeptics are being forced into. All choices have a risk-benefit. For some the risk of the disease is lower than the risk of a deadly vax.
@accretionist @JS_RamirezMD @TVstedal So all vaccine based facts presented to us need to be taken at face value - they are pieces of information coming from centralised institutions with inherent motives, with large incentives for profit among select entities. Whatever narrative works for them is the best narrative.
