Iowa Guy

I write a bunch of fun nonsense about the Iowa Caucus and election. My writings on the 2020 election can be found at

A historic document of another time when hundreds gathered in close quarters and politicians shook hands with them all #IowaCaucus. https://t.co/cdSUZKE6qS

@SalinaEstitties Tired of seeing these BB tier charts with you at the bottom. You were ahead of everyone trying to get Angela and the Survivors out but eveyone was too star struck to see it.

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@Heythrsourgrpez @ywnyomama Maybe you should add Stooges to NY and VU and you covered it

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@MarcoBattaglia For context, the party of James Bowman is complaining that you cannot do this

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti Ever heard of LEON Durham

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

I watched ICW every week for awhile as a kid. I never hear anyone talk about them and never hear about Jumping Joe Savoldi- the star (and undersized son of the promoter a la Greg Gagne). I was so happy to see @HeyHeyItsConrad and Tony talking about them

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@rogerfritz @Menards This is the kind of info that the internet was made for

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti Let’s be honest going 12-31 is better than going 2-41. Legend!

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@giants4lf @WurzelRoot Well lucky for them they will still be touring in their late 90s. Not much longer now.

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti POV: You’re Turk Wendell

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti We’re just hours away from Tuesday. Whoo!!!

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti I am holding out for the House of David team

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti I wish we had Twitter back then for those no one is ever going to catch Dan Brouthers and his 72 Home Runs” and “Sam Thompson had 126 Homers but he was a compiler” tweets

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti If those post-97 Marlins could have kept Alou, Nenn, Kevin Brown, Devon White and Mantle they would have been a dynasty

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti Kevin Kiermaier hall of fame push starts now

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti Rendon makes Kris Bryant look like Cal Ripken

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti Are the Angels just cursed. This is like a gathering of the biggest bats of that previous decade. Real Pujols/Trout/Ohtani star power

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@bens0xred I mean isn’t this simply Gallo had a couple of great seasons in a short career. Buckner played until he was 40. Let’s see those stars if gallo plays another decade. You could probably run Steve Blass or Mark Fidrych against Fergie Jenkins or Jerry Koosman and get skewed results

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti I mean it’s him or Ron Kittle

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti John’s dad For A. Rocker was a smash in the Pacific Coast League in the 80s too

[Iowa Guy @Iowacaucusguy]

@notgaetti What did she think was going to happen? She should have went with Luther Hackman instead.
