A new paper is out!
This TRP channel study is a collaboration between @IphpL and Dr. Wakabayashi.
We investigated how TRPM8 activation influences heat production in brown adipose tissue!

Lecturer Fujimoto, Kitano (M2), and collaborator lecturer Matsuura (@yuikomatsuura) from the IPHP lab presented their posters at ECSS2025 @E_C_S_S!
It was a great chance to discuss with researchers from around the world.
We’ll keep pushing hard to produce better research! 👊👊
In today’s seminar, third-year students took part in lung function and Wingate test 🚲 The Wingate test, involving 30 seconds of all-out pedaling, is used to assess anaerobic power in exercise physiology.
We hope this experience helps shape better research topics and protocols📝
Just presented at ECSS Rimini 2025! @E_C_S_S
One presentation from our LEAM group and two collaborative studies with the @IphpL were shared.
It was an inspiring experience to exchange ideas with researchers from around the world! 🌍✨🤝
Here’s a look at grad. student Suzaki (M1) working on a preliminary experiment.
He’s researching the response to hyperthermia.
There were a few troubles and areas to improve, but he’s tackling each one carefully as he gets ready for the main experiment.
Kitano, Fukuyama, and Suzaki did a lecture about research presentation and graduation thesis to third-year students.
The important points they shared based on their experience was surely meaningful to the undergraduates.
May their future be bright and filled with discoveries.
【Lab crew assembled!】
Snapped our official lab today!
Led by Lect. Tomomi Fujimoto, our team includes Asst. Prof. Yumi Okamoto, four master's students (including one working grad student), and 22 undergraduates.
United in purpose, ready to take on whatever comes next.
