On Dec 18 2007, the UN general assembly recognised โthe critical role and contribution of rural women, including Indigenous women, in enhancing agricultural and rural development, improving food security and eradicating rural poverty.โ
This is only one of the findings from our mapping review of 1299 scientific articles on "animal health" in the Indo-Pacific. If you are interested to find out more, our Research Fellow @MeRuwet would be happy to discuss it during breaks and networking events.
Our poster is up at @WOHCongress and over the last couple of days we have had the pleasure of discussing our preliminary findings with many other delegates. Gender and community and indigenous knowledge are mostly absent from research on animal health in the region.
