One of the horrible cases that is silenced in this long war is the case of the death of Dr. Adnan al-Bursh. Al Bursh is one of the best and most respected surgeons in Gaza. From the beginning of the war, he worked in several hospitals in an attempt to save as many civilians as possible who were injured by IDF shelling. He was arrested along with other medical teams and taken to detention in Sde Teyman, and then to the Ofer prison, where he was severely tortured until he died. Until the day of his death, no charges were filed against him, and he was not brought before a judge. His body is still being held in Israel, and no explanation has been given for his death. This is another shocking example of Israel's brutal repression policy.
