Cybersecurity, AI, Space, Global Threats, unfiltered Tech across the board. Refined against misinfo, grift, bots & manufactured outrage. Pro-build, USA-first
Fair point on optics and FCF pressure markets do punish big capex moves short-term. But Alphabet’s $130B+ annual net income + booming Cloud (63% YoY, massive backlog) means this $11B/yr lease is easily digestible.
The SpaceX deal is smart capital efficiency: instant functioning capacity without owning every build. They can afford to spend where the ROI looks best. Stock will react either way, but execution wins long-term.
Hardly in the unsustainable” realm like I pointed out, but of course investors will be investors and doom over a wet fart.
@LotSimon78315@valuetainment White House didn’t ask for anything.
Altman is offering. Why? Because OpenAI and Anthropic over extended the grift.
Boomers will cry “it’s a bubble”…no it’s corrupt whacks running these companies making terrible decisions and needing an out.
@Jtyles@VraserX Doomers are a powerful sell. They scream and people go “why are they screaming” look and go oh I want to try this product they’re crying about.
Accounts like this are whackos Amodei best salesmen.
Speaking of screaming doom.
Anthropic isn’t my favorite, and the leader is a nut as is Altman, however he is not crying that we are all gonna die.
What he’s actually saying is the onslaught of pure trash AI products, AI slop research and so on from every tech bro alive is creating AI slop.
The suggestion is to slow down and let humanity catch up. Otherwise it’s the bagel treatment.
Is some of that rooted in hysteria? Sure. But is anthropic doing it to incur regulatory scrutiny and hurdles? Well that’s like you Turning yourself in for speeding and demanding you pay a fine.
I give it a week and you’ll be back on Anthropic or some other AI product.
Doomers gonna doom
Especially when you don't understand wehat is being said.
Anthropic isn't saying "the sky is falling if we keep going with AI we will all die". What they are saying is people are going faster than they can catch their breath and thus making slop.
This is Anthropic kindly saying to all vibe levels, from AI devlopment to tools, to code etc, to stop being stupid, take a breath and do it right.
That isn't "we are doomed if we keep going" more than it is simply pointing out that slop is slop and we need to stop its spread.
@elonmusk@CommunityNotes The issue is many CN are misleading themselves and created by activists who can’t debate in comments.
Are we gonna get messages too for those misleading CN?
@elonmusk Hell yeah! SpaceX going public is a massive leap for humanity’s multiplanetary future. From reusable rockets to Starlink connecting the unconnected.
But I’m not fully convinced on data centers in space.
Who’s in for space data centers? Who’s gonna change a down server?
SpaceX is going public! 🚀
Elon Musk just amplified the official announcement: SpaceX is preparing for an IPO, with details at spacexipo
For the first time, everyday investors will have a direct shot at one of the most ambitious technology companies on Earth , the same company that’s redefined reusable rockets, deployed the largest satellite constellation with Starlink, and is pushing hard on AI and space infrastructure to make humanity multiplanetary.
How he’s doing space data centers, that’s gonna be interesting once figured out.
@valuetainment This is why 90% of what AI is being used for should be cut off.
I’d bet a massive reason for costs being so high is people make cat videos all day and have absolutely no idea how to learn to sue AI. (No one is an expert at this point)
AI companies are taxed the same as any other corporation.
Pretty soon the derps will just come out and say what they really want, 100% tax on everything. Which they will label as 0% tax because it is no longer yours in the first place.
The play to "tax AI" is just the absurd push to tax the internet itself.
@tekbog lol I’ve used it, it’s trash. Just ChatGPT in a gum wrapper.
Seats being bought and forced token use so employees just burn tokens I guess counts as “lots of people” but that’s not the full picture.
