The Ipswich Referees Society represents, trains and supports football referees in Ipswich and the surrounding districts. We meet on third Monday of the month
Although there's no Ipswich Referees Society meeting, the SIL Working Group are meeting at Ransomes on May 16th at 7pm to discuss how we can tackle abuse & improve the working relationship between clubs and referees. Please come along to have your voice heard.
Our usual evening for meetings this year falls on Easter Monday so our CPD session (which is free for any referee and presented in conjunction with Suffolk FA) will be at Ransomes on Monday 25th April at 7:15pm. The session is open to all referees, please come and join us!
This will be a fantastic opportunity for our younger referees to learn what it takes to reach the higher levels of football refereeing and talk to someone who has already taken that pathway. Come and meet Callum tonight at 7:15pm!
Suffolk referee Callum Walchester started out as all referees do and has worked his way to level 2b panel list referee. Callum will talk about his pathway to promotion, the opportunities he's had along the way and his experiences in reaching this level.
On Monday 21st Feb, our topic is dealing with difficult situations. Referee trainer Andy Wilding has prepared three scenarios for you to discuss what action you, as a referee, should take in order to bring the situation under control. Should be a great evening of discussion.
Deck the halls with bells and whistles - it's time for our Christmas Social! Monday 20th Dec at 7pm. Once again, we'll enjoy a fish and chip supper with a quiz and games. Please see our website https://t.co/Tj9x8mgGxe for more details.
