As we mark 30 years since the Beijing Declaration + Platform for Action, today I welcomed Women Speakers of Parliament to #15SWSP.
In 1995, 10% of Speaker seats were held by women.
Today that has risen to 21.2%.
This is transformative + irreversible - but the pace is too slow.
