Two years ago today, Bryce Gerlach, 18, was randomly murdered at the Harvest Homecoming festival in New Albany, IN, when Black males opened fire and hit three people at the packed festival.
All murder charges were dropped and all perps got plea deals for lesser charges.
He was 7 months old, and asleep next to his mom.
Zymir Demarco Smith was shot and killed in August 2025 when shooters fired into his family's home on Collins Ave. in Spartanburg, SC.
According to police and the 7th Circuit Solicitor's Office:
* Multiple shooters opened fire on both floors of the home.
* Investigators recovered 17 shell casings.
* 1 round struck Zymir in the neck as he slept beside his mother.
* He died at the scene.
* Investigators say it was a targeted attack.
More than a year later, on Sept. 25, 2026:
‼️ Darius Rodracus Wright, 21, was arrested.
‼️ A juvenile was arrested.
‼️ Christopher Joseph Mallory, 18, was charged while already sitting in the county jail on other charges.
All three are charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
Wright and Mallory were denied bond.
Prosecutors say Mallory is also charged in the Nov. 2025 killing of 16-year-old Brodarrien Tate, plus an attempted murder in a separate case.
He was 17 when Zymir was killed.
So a baby was killed in August.
Prosecutors say the same guy was charged with killing a 16 year old only 3 months later.
And a 4th suspect is still out there.

...was sentenced to ONLY 30 DAYS in jail.
Yes, you read that right... THIRTY DAYS.
His name was Lance Sotelo.
Lance grew up in Dalton, Georgia, and was a cross-country MVP in high school.
He came to Queens University of Charlotte and ran cross country and track and field for SIX YEARS.
He was the student body president.
On January 14th, Lance was doing the thing he loved most, he was out for a run in Charlotte NC
At 5:47 in the evening, police say 28-year-old Q'Laundra Hood was ran a red light and she hit him, hard.
...and then she drove away.
She left him in the road and kept going.
Lance Sotelo died right there on the streets of Charlotte.
He never even made it to a hospital.
He didn't have life insurance, his family had to start a GoFundMe just to bury their son.
Hood turned herself in and pleaded guilty to felony hit-and-run and involuntary manslaughter.
And on Tuesday, a courtroom packed with Lance's family and friends watched the judge hand down the sentence.
30 days in jail. And probation.
Thirty days and $765 restitution.

🚨#BREAKING: Six "jailers" have been FIRED after a White inmate in a South Carolina jail run by a Black man DIED OF THIRST on the floor of his cell... covered INCHES-DEEP IN FECES, with the water to his sink SHUT OFF.
He drank out of his OWN TOILET to survive
He wrote letters to his father pleading for help because he was being tortured because he was White.
His name was Gary "Bubba" Blair, he was 43.
He was the caregiver for his own elderly father. He had two nephews he adored and a dog named Scrubby.
So why was he in jail?
In February, Bubba showed up at his sister's house wearing a sheriff's office golf shirt, a security badge, handcuffs, and pepper spray. Deputies arrested him for impersonating a police officer.
A judge found he wasn't mentally competent to stand trial and ORDERED the state to place him into treatment on June 3.
The South Carolina Office of Mental Health never followed through.
Bubba sat in that jail for 181 days waiting for a spot.
He passed away 51 days after a judge ordered them to get him help.
In April, he write a letter to his father:
"I've lost about 90 pounds so far. I'm starving to death in here; only two meals a day, that's it... you starve, and I also have to drink from my toilet and no mattress to sleep on, only a hard ground."
"I’ve been abused by staff and assaulted by everyone on the unit; I had to go 28 days without a shower... no help for a white man"
"The staff is very nasty to white inmates thanks to Troy Ellerbe and James Dixon."
Then in May, Bubba did something that will haunt me.
He wrote a letter to a CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE begging for help.
The letter had a bad address. It was returned. It never arrived.
Meanwhile, sources say the water to his sink was SHUT OFF. His cell floor and walls were covered in feces INCHES DEEP. He was alone. Never let out.
Other inmates, who got a few hours out of their cells, told the news they watched Bubba drink toilet water.
So they took an empty potato chip bag and filled it with water and pushed it through the food slot in his door!!!!!
Most of it spilled before it ever reached him.
On July 24th, jailers found him dead on the floor.
49 days later, the autopsy came back.
Cause of death: profound dehydration due to DEPRIVATION OF WATER.
Manner of death: HOMICIDE.
The report also found bed sores on his HEELS, consistent with a man lying on a concrete floor for days at a time.
Acute bronchial pneumonia.
Profound weight loss.
Physical evidence that he had been INGESTING TOILET WATER.
He had lost so much weigh and was in such poor condition, his sister and aunt went to the funeral home to see him... they did not recognize his body.
The sheriff fired the Black jail administrator 5 days after Bubba died, and refuses to say why.
Bubba Blair sang to old folks in nursing homes. He took care of his daddy.
He deserved so much better than dying of thirst on a concrete floor.

3 teens ages 12–14-years-old have been shot while attempting to rob an elderly man in Harris County TX. The teens were all armed with pistols when the victim pulled out his gun, shooting three of them in self-defense.
A Georgia man is walking free after defending his family and property at 4 a.m. when three masked thugs rolled up to rob people in his front yard.
The suspects 16-year-old Isaiah Reid,
15-year-old Jaime Hernandez, and
16-year-old Brandon Gresham, all from Conyers —were masked and armed. One teen opened fire first.
The homeowner returned fire, dropping all three. Would-be victims unharmed. Deputies recovered two guns at the scene. Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett called it a clear “stand your ground” case.
No charges against the homeowner.
