Presidents parading at concerts, football matches, and public ceremonies, moving with entire entourages, family members, and bloated cabinets, burning public funds to remain permanently in people’s faces, while urgent matters of state remain unattended.

Measuring the worth of a president by whether he sits in a stadium during a football match is a sign of political degradation.

Several Muslims in Oyo faced persecution in so many forms. Some were sold into slavery persistently.

Some were killed . A particular slaughter of Muslims in Oyo Palace precincts triggered an exodus of several of them to towns like Iseyin, Kuwo, Saki, Igboho etal.

Perhaps you don't know that, just like several other itinerant preachers then, in the 17th,18th centuries that littered Yorubaland, Alimi, was like several of them, he was in Oyo, before fleeing for Iseyin.

Idoluwo mosque in Lagos, for example was built in 1774, Enu-Owa Mosque in 1787.

Several Oyo families who fled included those of Sheikh Adam Al-Ilory, and Ajikobi, who later then left for Ilorin.

Many of you "Yoruba activists" talk in one breadth of "Yorubas being majority" in Ilorin, yet never sit down to ask why those "Oyos" who became Ilorin were adamantly anti-Oyo.

Ajikobi's brother Salu, was captured by Oyo forces and sold into slavery. He would later be saved in Sierra-Leone, came back to Badagry and his son, the famous Muhammed Shitta-Bey would become a famous Muslim leader in Lagos, building the Shitta-Bey mosque in 1894.

Back to the Yoruba Muslims sold into slavery. They were so much in Brazil for example, that they led the most consequential slave rebellion, in Brazil, still talked about till today.

The Male Rebellion of 1835. Google it.

Interestingly, that was the same year Old Oyo got destroyed.

Some of those Muslim Yoruba families, after the slave rebellion purchased their freedom and returned.

That is why names like Pedros, Tiamiyu Gomes, Martins, Agusto, Yahaya Tokunboh, Da Silva, Salvador are prominent in early Lagos Muslim families of the 19th century.

If those names don't ring a bell, read up on Imam Lawal Basil Agusto, or Alhaji Jibril Martins (1888-1959).

There are several other things to counter here. But please, the Barubas (Kaiama) defeated Oyo empire in 1783.

Again, Glad that the gloves are off, and we have been able to establish, your ThinkYorubaFirst and Yoruba Nesan group are profoundly anti-Islam.
