Neither have been brilliant, but Zirkzee has undoubtedly been far more effective than Delap.

Yet Delap will be sold for a £15m profit the second he���s available, while United will make a substantial loss on Zirkzee, and probably not have any suiters for a permanent move for at least another 12 months.

Yes, United’s recruitment and ability to sell players should be questioned, but the way others are able to effortlessly move in the transfer market while we seem to be continuously handicapped also seems very odd at times.
