A really special moment to meet @Tsihanouskaya at the Norwegian Helsinki Committee & to share that Ireland has committed funding in 2025 for the International Fund for Political Prisoners in Belarus
The Fund provides comprehensive support to former political prisoners & families
As ever a wide ranging and interesting exchange today for EU Heads of Mission with Foreign Minister @EspenBarthEide. Great to hear that he has already met the new Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, @HMcEntee

This week, 40 years ago, the Anglo-Irish Agreement was signed.
A landmark moment that laid the foundations of peace in Northern Ireland & a historic new era of British-Irish relations, one defined by a spirit of cooperation & respect across these islands on our path to peace.
On Sunday, I was proud to participate in the Remembrance Sunday Ceremony and lay a laurel wreath in Oslo in memory of the Irish men and women who served during World War 1

It is always a privilege to attend the Opening of Parliament. It’s a combination of tradition, symbolism and a clear demonstration of Norway’s enduring commitment to democracy
Congratulations also to all of the new Deputies elected for their first term

At the #EPC last week, Taoiseach Micheál Martin chaired a round table with Prime Minister @KristrunFrosta on economic security and resilience
They then met for broad ranging discussions on increasing bilateral cooperation as well as the Middle East and Gaza
At the EPC in Copenhagen, Taoiseach Micheál Martin met with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre
It was an opportunity to congratulate the PM on his reelection; discuss the warm bilateral relationship as well as consider priority areas of shared concern, including Gaza and Ukraine
I am deeply concerned by the reports this morning of an incursion by Russian drones into Polish airspace overnight.
This Russian aggression is entirely unacceptable, and poses a risk to civilians.
A great example of collaboration between 🇳🇴 🇮🇪 and 🇸🇪
There aren’t so many explorations of shipwrecks off #Svalbard so this promises to be a really interesting evening on Tuesday, 18.30 at the Svalbard Museum
For those in Svalbard, a fascinating presentation by Irishman Kevin Martin including pictures and underwater films from his undersea archaeological investigations of the shipwreck "Minerva". The presentation is on 9 Sep in the Svalbard Museum at 7.30pm.
