Today, every stride made at the Mau Conservation Marathon was more than a race it was a powerful commitment to protecting the Mau Forest Complex and securing a sustainable future for generations to come.
Through the Mau Forest Complex Integrated Conservation and Livelihood Improvement Programme (MFC-ICLIP), we continue to demonstrate that conservation and community development go hand in hand. By restoring forests, improving livelihoods, and promoting environmental stewardship, we are building resilient communities while safeguarding one of Kenya's most important water towers.
Congratulations to all our winners for their exceptional performances, and to every participant who took part in today's marathon ,your dedication has made a lasting impact.
Together, we are transforming footsteps into conservation actions, proving that every kilometre run contributes to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Mau Forest Complex.
Together, we are conserving the Mau Forest Complex while improving livelihoods for the communities that depend on it.
