Adding data should add a level of competence but if you dont discern enough or have context it only obfuscates any insights and doesnt help anyone.

The falling price of TVs doesn't equate to the wild increases in the prices of housing and health care. Obfuscation. You can't explain with just one chart....

"My rates were 15% in 1980!" Yeah but houses cost 1/3 the price. Both are true but I am not cherry picking facts to paint broadstrokes and obfuscate any real insights.
