@ElleHerr Really interesting Elle! I sometimes get these words mixed up so I appreciate you clearing that up. To me, equality is giving everyone the same thing and equity is giving everyone the thing that brings them onto similar footing

@kmo4491 Yes Kevin, we are lucky to live in a prosperous country!I think the discussion of the commons can go one step further, however. Like the story, some people actively destroy the resources we have. They should be punished accordingly!

@CaffallLena Pixar is my favorite company ever. I watched their documentary and they let their employees make their room whatever they want. They also have really productive meetings because of their emphasis of Psychological Safety!

Hello everyone!! Today during class, I really noticed how the 5 philosophies of teaching really made more of a spectrum than 5 distinct ideas . I personally like this spectrum model because it means I can incorporate more than one concept in my teaching

@ElleHerr I agree Elle! In a perfect world, every student will have equal opportunities at learning. There an interesting theory about humanity where the some of the smartest students are gated behind poverty and poor schooling.
