@FrKadel @GodWelcomesAll @TheRaDR But really my thesis is that Twitter can't be the place for thoughtful inter-religious dialogue on a complex topic that has many variants in form and intent—along with a fair amount of inter-religious history. Though it's perfect for inter-religious bullying.

@FrKadel @GodWelcomesAll @TheRaDR Certainly scholars are not in agreement on that; there's some pretty convincing evidence that there is significant borrowing in the Haggadah from Christianity—and of course there's other Christian borrowing from Mishnaic-era Judaism in, say, the common prayers after Vatican II.

All I'm saying is that, good or bad, that's not what everyone is doing. But if Christianizing the Haggadah is the norm in TEC, then that is quite tragic.

@FrKadel @GodWelcomesAll @TheRaDR I understand that. And I understand that many Christian Seders are very very bad—actually I think LTP was trying to counter that. BUT before @TheRaDR goes all caps against Christian Seders, I think it's helpful to do some homework; in some aspects this was a Jewish initiative.

@oceanfyre @GodWelcomesAll He published actual Seders for Christians to use via a Catholic publishing house. Maybe his intent was that the Catholics would invite Jews to their Seder (?) but that would be a very odd way of going about it.
