@Palestine4888 They tried to form a relationship with the Sunnis in the past, but they always refused. If Sunni Iraqi figures are willing, I don’t see why they would not take that opportunity.

As of right now, they’re displeased with the Iraqi situation anyways

@Palestine4888 The west is not seeking war with Iran—but it does seek a new partner in the region.

With Syria’s liberation, a likeminded Sunni Iraqi state would be of most benefit. The U.S. instance on the existence of an Iraqi Kurdistan is already a sign of that.
