It’s hard to parent a teen today without the constant fear of saying the wrong thing — especially when every other headline is abt a life lost too soon.. This is just me trying to make sense of it all — and sharing a few things I’m learning along the way.

@sony_india@vyas_sumeet Same problem . NEW SONY Bravia Tv freezes and restarts! Please help... Customer service is not helping..I bought a more expensive Sony TV with the expectation that it will be a good product. So disappointed
@SonyIndia@SonyElectronics I recently purchased a new Sony Bravia TV, but it keeps restarting abruptly, interrupting our experience. We've reached out to customer service multiple times and written to you, but the issue still hasn’t been resolved. Please look into this asap!

Studying in my teens: I could cram 10 chapters in a day and still get decent grades.
Studying in my 40s: I read 1 chapter over 3 days and am still unable to answer the end-of-chapter questions!
Help! My brain's forgotten how to retain information!
So my 13-year-old daughter dreams of studying in the US after 12th grade. I casually tell her she needs to work hard and build her resume if she wants that. Without missing a beat, she replies, ‘In that case, I’ll just go to Canada!’ 😂 Clearly, hard work isn’t on her agenda!
7 months after my Achilles tendon surgery, I played my first game of badminton. I was a little nervous and restricted myself from moving around too much. But I am so glad this day came.. when I thought it would never come 🤩
3 Months 11 days since my Achilles tendon surgery. I have started my morning walks now. My ankle/calf starts paining after a while but I am glad I am out there
It feels like a sign of ageing that I am mastering new and oddly specific muscle names regularly!
Thank you aches and pains for this unnecessary crash course in anatomy..
Two months after my Achilles tendon repair surgery
The doc cleared me to walk without the boot indoors and to otherwise walk how much ever I want. So yayy! I can see the light at the end of this tunnel.
Day 53
Sometimes you need a kick to get you to do something that you have been wanting to do but have not been doing since you were too busy feeling sorry for yourself.
I have been contemplating hiring a trainer to exercise (the rest of my body) but when my physio said, 'Stop throwing money. Discipline doesn't come from a trainer. It comes from you.', I felt like I was slapped. I was wasting time on my phone every morning, victimizing myself when I could have picked any appropriate workout from YouTube and done it. Thanks to my physio, I ended up doing a fun, chair-cardio workout which I really liked! Feels good after all this time 😊 (https://t.co/x7cPIuhhXl)
I have found this riveting game called Suguru, to play during the passive parts of my physiotherapy.I used to play Sudoku earlier, but got bored of it. Has anyone tried Suguru?
Watched Animal finally yesterday. And now I am totally judging people who said it was 'good' or even 'okay'!
Even if I take out the misogyny, unnecessary gore and violence, it is still a bad movie! Nonsensical dialogues & a plot so bad that it is hysterical. How are people liking this?
#LucyDiaries
We have, over time, developed a protocol for guests to meet Lucy which is more elaborate than the protocol to meet the Queen of England. Here are the steps :
1) Wait at the reception. Don't make the mistake of landing directly at our house. Lucy will come down to meet (sniff) you at the reception. Ignore her then..but talk to us.
2) You need to get out of the lift first and let Lucy follow you.
3) You have to enter the house first and pickup a bowl of cut paneer from the shoe rack in your hands. Lucy will be following from behind.
4) Look once and look away from Lucy. Throw some pieces of paneer on the floor while you are at it.
5) Always only show your side profile to Lucy. You can choose your good side to show her.👀
6) Do not try to pet her or touch her even if she is coming quietly to sniff you. Only she can touch you..😜
7) Don't stare at her. But also look at her once in a while.
8) Don't walk directly at her. Always walk in a curve around her.
If you remember all of this and manage to follow it, we will consider the agni pariksha of your friendship as successfully completed.
