@Nickleh Finally got around to your podcast. Now you know I don't pull any punches and tell it as I see it completely devoid of empathy. Well, I love it and now have a back catalogue to binge listen to. You and Mr P work well together and I like the occasional ehs and a cheerful chiri which I don't get from the Pub Landlord.🫡
Finished Nicks book today ...a throughly interesting read and a great insight into the minds of the people of the #channelislands during the occupation #WW2#Jersey 🇯🇪 #Guernsey 🇬🇬
If like John you enjoyed my book please do pop along to Amazon to leave a review. You don’t have to have purchased the book from them to leave a review. Every review helps more people find the book. Thanks 🙏
I will be on @WW2TV at 19:00 BST Tuesday 23rd June.
I will be talking about escapes from the Channel Islands during the German occupation of the Channel Islands. Do join us if you can. Link below takes you straight to WW2TV
Book published by @barnthorn also available on Amazon and from @writersblockgsy and Guernsey Underground Hospital.

Need a Fathers Day present for Sunday? Why not pop along to @writersblockgsy or the shop at the German Underground Hospital and grab him a copy of my book.
Packing to go home tomorrow. Such a privilege to have been invited to be the author in residence in Masnières this week.
Very impressed with the work the students and staff put into studying my book and also their work on the Occupation of the Channel Islands. @barnthorn
I finished this terrific book this afternoon. @Nickleh shines a light into a forgotten corner of SWW history. Plus I don’t get stripped of my low IC number for reading too many German history books. Seriously a good book, bit of a myth buster in my view.
We are recording June 1944 part 2 tomorrow morning. Episode will be out Monday.
Nick recorded an episode today where he talked to Chris Oliver about the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry. That will be out next week.
If you are looking for something to do on Sunday 24th May I am leading a walking tour around St Peter Port as part of the Spring Walking Festival.
It looks like the weather will be good for an easy stroll around town to learn about defiance, danger and liberation.
