@ethanfromvan@Canucks If you're basing off of top end superstar potential you're right however we should be excited for a few more of them for their middle six/top 4 potential. Novotny, Rogowski, Kudryavtsev for example will play meaningful games for the Canucks someday soon.
@taj1944 Petey and a 2028 2nd for Pittsburgh's 2027 1st, Rutger McGroarty, Ryan Graves. Canucks rise one round in the draft, pickup a young prospect and take on an awful contract for a couple more years. No retention happening on either contract. Petey could thrive in Pitt.
@sekeresandprice Love the conversation being so controversial. Canucks finally get back in the top 3 and it's like fighting over guys who could go 3-10 on any given day.
@Trevned2@JamieDodd@ThomasDrance I genuinely believe that Malhotra would drop to 5 if Canucks trade down.
McKenna
Reid
Stenberg
Carels/Bjork/Verhoeff/Smits/Lawrence could all be that 4th selection depending on what Chicago wants. Could be a slam dunk trade for the Canucks unless Chicago wants Malhotra that bad
@CanucksArmy You need veteran leadership during the rebuild so I'm fine keeping him. Not someone we 'need' to dump if we can't get decent assets in return
@SatiarShah Low expectations, even if they don't win the lottery and it goes to the leafs or Chicago, they still sort of "win" third. Won't get the same quality of player but still a huge boost to the Canucks prospect pool.
@Sportsnet650 When Petey played with the 6-40-9 line and they were trusted to produce offense it was a spectacle. If he had that chance again I bet he gets a spark. I just doubt that the Canucks lure than winger in!
